Videographer
Ages: 19+
Camp Suisse is looking for a creative and talented Videographer to join our seasonal team in the heart of the Swiss Alps. This is a fantastic opportunity to apply your storytelling skills to a vibrant, high-energy environment filled with unforgettable moments. Your role will be to capture the spirit and emotion of camp life through engaging, high-quality video content, from short social media clips to full-length promotional videos.
If you’re artistic, adaptable, and thrive in dynamic environments, this role offers a chance to create impactful work while enjoying the atmosphere of an international youth camp.
Location: The role is predominantly based at our main camp in Les Crosets, a stunning but remote mountain village in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, Les Crosets offers the perfect environment for us to operate our camp, but has minimal local facilities in the summer. We also run camps in alternative locations, so you may be required to relocate for short periods to deliver your role elsewhere throughout the season.
Key Duties:
1. Communication
- Build rapport with campers and staff to create a relaxed atmosphere for filming natural footage.
- Interact confidently and respectfully with children and young people to help them feel comfortable on camera.
- Work seamlessly within camp life, blending into the background to capture authentic moments without disrupting activities.
- Liaise with activity leaders, group leaders, and managers to plan shoot schedules or gain access to specific events or excursions.
- Be approachable and professional, representing Camp Suisse while filming and during all interactions with staff and campers.
2. Filming, Editing & Content Creation
- Shoot high-quality video footage throughout each session, including activities, excursions, camper life, and the stunning Alpine setting.
- Edit content into a variety of formats including:
-
Short videos for social media platforms
-
Session-specific promotional films
-
General promotional videos for future marketing campaigns
-
- Compile a comprehensive video library of camp experiences, facilities, staff, and local highlights for ongoing use.
- Use your artistic license to bring creativity and originality to each video while maintaining consistent branding and tone.
- Deliver sharp, well-composed, emotionally resonant films that truly capture the essence of the Camp Suisse experience.
3. Participation & Teamwork
- Be a proactive and reliable member of the wider media and marketing team, contributing to shared goals and content plans.
- Adapt to the fast-paced, ever-changing nature of seasonal camp life, including long days and tight turnarounds.
- Support the wider team during peak times — including helping out with photoshoots or camp-wide events if needed.
- Attend relevant team meetings and briefings to stay aligned with camp activities and communication plans.
- Contribute positively to the team culture, showing flexibility, initiative, and a willingness to support others.
Personal requirements / characteristics:
We are looking for a skilled and creative videographer with the ability to shoot, edit, and produce a wide range of dynamic video content. You should be confident in operating independently, managing your own time, and making quick creative decisions in the field. The ideal candidate is artistic and technically competent with strong storytelling instincts. It is essential that you bring your own filming and editing equipment, including cameras, audio gear, and editing software. You must be capable of working in a discreet and non-invasive manner while capturing emotive and engaging footage. Experience filming in youth, education, or sports environments is a bonus. Strong editing skills and a clear visual style are a must, as is the ability to meet deadlines with high-quality finished content. You should enjoy working with children and be able to blend into camp life, capturing it in a way that feels both authentic and cinematic.
Remuneration:
- Accommodation for the duration of your contract
- Three meals per day
- Entrance / admissions / equipment relating to all activities in which you participate
- Competitive salary
- Accident insurance
