My 13-year old daughter spent 2 weeks here this summer and without doubt will say it was the best 2 weeks of her life. Great staff, great day excursions, great friends and great memories. From my perspective, admin support in the UK was always friendly and responsive. It felt secure and well arranged. The drop off and pick up was well arranged it, as it was our first time, I felt she’d be in safe hands throughout – and she was. From the first moment of arrival at camp, the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful and made my daughter feel comfortable immediately.

My son, Adrian, from the USA had a great time. This kid forgot his size 12 TENNIS SHOES, and the camp help him get a pair. Thank you. So many new activities for him. Due to an isolated issue he was able to ride in a helicopter over the Swiss Alps. The staff are so helpful and kind, as well as the other campers. It was his first time out of USA and he now has an interest in travel. So very proud.

Dear Richard,
I hope this email finds you in good health and high spirits. I am writing to express my deepest gratitude and appreciation for the exceptional two weeks my daughter, Diane, spent at Camp Suisse. She had an absolute blast and created cherished memories that will last a lifetime. I never thought that she would come back home wishing that she would have stayed for an extra week.
From the moment I dropped her off at camp, the warm and welcoming atmosphere was evident.
The range of activities and programs offered at Camp Suisse was truly outstanding. Diane returned home bubbling with excitement, eager to share the adventures and what she had learned. I cannot describe the smile she had on her face talking about her stay.
Lastly, I want to acknowledge the tireless efforts and leadership of the camp management team. Your dedication to delivering an outstanding camp experience is evident in every aspect of Camp Suisse. Your attention to detail, commitment to safety, and continuous efforts to improve the camp’s programs are truly commendable.
Once again, I would like to extend my sncerest appreciation for the incredible two weeks that my daughter spent at Camp Suisse. The memories she made will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on her growth and development. I wholeheartedly recommend Camp Suisse to any parent seeking a nurturing, engaging, and unforgettable summer camp experience for their child.
Thank you Richard, Julie, and the entire staff (Catherine, Nabila, Irati, Cassie, Siomara, Lia, Hugh, Piper, Conor, and Tania) for creating a safe, supportive, and enriching environment for my daughter. We are increbibly grateful for the exceptional experience she had, and we eagerly look forward to her returning next summer.

Thank you with all our heart! Tommaso has just returned home and he’s very happy for his experience with Camp Suisse. He really had a lot of fun: your activities were unforgettable (“even the simplest ones were very well organized and very funny”: these are words of Tommaso).
He met new fantastic friends, improving his autonomy (he traveled alone for the first time) and his English. Thanks for everything.
Best regards and our best wishes for a wonderful summer.

I can’t believe Erin has been home from Camp a week already but it is safe to say she has talked of nothing else since she got back! She had the most amazing time with friends and stories to last her a lifetime. As a parent I just want to say thank you for making her first experience of travelling on her own such a fun and safe adventure. There are too many names to mention (all the Yellow group leaders who gave them endless giggles under their watchful care, the cook who gave them extra helpings, to the ‘Matron’ who no doubt must have turned a blind ear if not eye to the creaking staircase, and everyone who else who forms part of the Camp Suisse family). The photos you posted were unexpectedly much needed by us parents as a reassurance our kids were okay but wow what a great photographer and Erin & Alice were absolutely beaming in them all.
Thank you again for giving Erin an amazing time at Camp Suisse.

As Alessandro has returned and settling back home I just wanted to write you a short note to thank you and the entire staff of Camp Suisse.
I know that sometimes teenagers are somewhat challenging to manage, especially when they are away from home. I must say that we are impressed, although without any doubts since our decision to send him to Camp Suisse, with your support, your prompt handling of any situation, and the care demonstrated toward the kids. This must not be considered business as usual. This is exceptional.
As we are learning the experiences, the learnings and the exposure Alessandro has been facing we think this is the very minimum we could do to thank you all.”

Yousef and Maya just got home from “the best two weeks of their lives!”. The children had so much fun. Maya who is only 7, fit in like a glove, she found comfort and security in addition to loads of fun. Yousef who has traveled alone multiple times before, said that Camp Suisse has been his favourite so far. Saifeldin, their older brother who was at camp years ago, still fondly remembers his own experience at camp. As parents we can’t thank you enough. The children had so much fun, and built some great friendships (with the staff and students). Already they are planning next year at camp.
However as parents, our concerns where beyond fun and they were all well taken care of. Any requests we had were well attended to, from sleeping arrangements to dietary requests, all were dealt with magnificently.
Looking at the pictures (which are FANTASTIC) you can tell how compassionate and caring the staff where; Yousef wearing an adults jacket in the glacier and Maya being well taken care off by the staff MANY times are some of the small touches we could see.
We love how homey and personal Camp Suisse is, already many family and friends are planning to send their own children next year along with Maya and Yousef. Thank you for everything. Looking forward to next summer.

We are very happy that the experience was so good for all of us – not just Dante, but also for us; Richard and Julie have been very professional all the way and made the process go very smoothly. I want to thank Julie, Rosie and Richard and all the staff in the Blue group for the support you gave to Henry on his stay at Camp Suisse. He had an amazing experience at Camp Suisse! Henry travelled solo from Sydney, Australia at 14 years of age and the whole experience was seamless. Although he had really know idea of what it was going to be like the camp exceeded all expectations!! Henry just absolutely had an extraordinary time with his fellow members in his group and staff. As Henry was so far away from home there really wasn’t any turning back and he just got so much out of this experience. He loved the people, the food, the activities were so different and so well done. Learning a language each day, being outdoors and active was fabulous. As a parent I highly recommend this camp to any family looking for an alternative opportunity for their son and daughter. The Facebook updates and an occasional call from Henry enabled us to feel very comfortable from the beginning to the end of the camp. So thank you and we look forward to sharing this experience with our other kids and families here in Australia. We will spread the word! It’s a great idea also if families are travelling in Europe and parents want some time to themselves. Thanks again Camp Suisse staff.

This was my son’s first experience of Camp Suisse and I found it to be professional and calmly organised from the start. I really liked the communication by viewing pictures and seeing updates on the website, and the opportunity to talk during ‘shower hour’. We feel this has been a brilliant opportunity for him to meet other children outside of his daily school life, and he hopes to keep in contact with many of them.

As parents we were very impressed with the efficient way the camp was organised to allow time for so many activities, the attention to the safety of our children, Charlotte and Caspar, and the structure of the day. Bedtimes were respected. Staff cared about small details which reassured our children. Each evening they were given clear and simple instructions so they knew what was expected of them and what they should expect. Our children found the food delicious. They relished the variety of new activities with a nice balance of time to socialise through informal and optional evening games. Our children are trilingual and we were delighted by the small class sizes for language lessons and by the challenging level of instruction. Krystin used a variety of high interest material and media to stimulate discussion and opinion. My daughter is shy but the subject matter compelled her to speak and to give her opinion in German. Next year they’ll be back with their sister. In the mean time they’re keeping the memories alive wearing the lovely Camp Suisse polo shirts with pride.

This was my second time at Camp Suisse, and I found it even better the second time round (which I didn’t think was possible!). The atmosphere is just so lovely and the location is absolutely picturesque, with so many gorgeous places around to visit. The staff are all amazing: kind, friendly and welcoming. The group leaders are great people to have fun with on activities and at meals (shout-out to Jack!) and help make sure everything goes smoothly, whilst also making sure everyone has a great time. PCL (pastoral care leaders) are always there to make sure that everyone is okay and to hand out medicine, and very organised with all the paperwork. They’re always there for everyone; whether one of the younger kids is feeling homesick, or if you need boy advice! The kitchen staff were all lovely and great at dealing with dietary needs. I’m a vegetarian, and each meal they would come over and talk me through what I could eat, and if there was a meat dish then they would prepare me my own meal instead (shout-out to Mike and his pesto!) .The food was absolutely delicious and the packed lunches they gave us for excursions were very generous, as well as tasty. The accommodation is also nice, with separate chalets for the boys and girls. They pair you with people around the same age as you, which is great for making friends, but if you want to share with someone specific they’re perfectly happy to accommodate that and very helpful about it. Studying a language at camp was incredibly fun, as the teachers made the lessons enjoyable, as well as educational. They make you sit a brief, test at the beginning of languages so that they can ensure that you are with people of the same ability as you, and then you’re allocated two language teachers. There are also great language events for everyone to partake in, such as the language karaoke and the language talent show. It was all very fun, but also very educational and I definitely learnt a lot (Danke schön Ray und Kristin!). The activities in and outside of camp were very varied and all incredibly fun. Inside camp you did activities such as archery, sports, mountain biking, rock climbing, mountain adventure day, art jamming (shout-out to Steve!) and numerous other things. These were a great way to try things you might not have done before, and improve on things you already knew. The off-campus activities were also incredible, going to places such as Lake Geneva, the Aqua Park, Glacier 3000, The Montreaux Jazz Festival, Banana Boating, Outdoor Rock Climbing and more. This was a great way to go out and explore, have a great time with your friends and soak up the sun. One of the best things, in my opinion, was the hike up to the chalet and the night we spent there. It was a long hike, but the fine weather and overall cheeriness made it a great time. Once we stepped at the camp, we had a delicious barbecue and then we walked up to the border of France. The view was absolutely breathtaking and definitely worth the walk. Afterwards we had a campfire and had a great time telling ghost stories, singing campfire songs and eating campfire food. In the chalet we had the opportunity to share a dorm with everyone of the same gender in our age group, and that was great fun, as I wasn’t sharing a dorm with some of my friends back at camp, and so this way we still got to have a sleepover and gossip! Not only did we have activities in the daytime, but every evening there was a special evening activity organised for us. My particular favourites were the Casino Night and the Language Kareoke, but there were also many more fun activities, such as the Mini Murder Mystery, and the Disco. Camp Suisse is the epitome of an international camp; I made friends from many different countries all over the world, including Mexico, Alaska, Italy, Vietnam, Tokyo, Saudi Arabia, Germany, France Dubai. Coming from England, it was amazing to meet such a wide range of people with different backgrounds, and learning all about the similarities and differences between our countries. I would like to thank Richard, Julie, and all the staff and campers at Camp Suisse for helping me have such a great time and for everything that they have done. I can honestly say that Camp Suisse is my favourite place in the world and I have the most wonderful time whenever I go. I would definitely recommend Camp Suisse to anyone who is looking for somewhere where they can experience a range of activities, meet new people, and have the time of their life. Thank you! I can’t think how this week could have been any better. There was the perfect balance of exciting activities and time to chill out and meet the other campers. Highlights for Joe were the banana boating on lake Geneva, the chocolate factory and camping out in the mountains. He also did bush craft skills, archery, basketball, rock climbing, hikes and loads more. What more could a kid possibly want!?! Camp Suisse have thought of everything from currency exchange to managing tiredness levels to make sure the kids get the most out of their week. Before, during and after the camp communication was superb with any queries answered almost immediately and paperwork kept simple and to the point. We were quickly spotted by the Camp Suisse representative at the airport and whisked away to the Alps. Upon arrival at the camp every member of the team was welcoming, enthusiastic and professional leaving me 100% confident that Joe would be well looked after and have an amazing week. Despite us arriving during a busy lunchtime, everyone had time for a quick hello and The facilities had a modern and clean feel and the whole atmosphere at camp was a buzz of excitement, positivity and happiness. I cannot recommend Camp Suisse highly enough if you are looking for a summer camp for your children. Joe’s only complaint was that he couldn’t stay for longer! Special shout outs to: Rich- Camp Director who still made loads of time to get to know the kids and make their stay fun. Jack & Rosie- Activity Leaders who Joe thought were awesome! Kim- Joe’s group leader who looked after him for us all week. Thank you so much Camp Suisse… Hopefully see you next year!”

This was the first time my children were going so far away from home on their own. I was worried when I dropped them off but the reception I got was calming. The younger two learnt to ride bicycles and they did things they wouldn’t normally get to do like hiking. They definitely will return next year.

This was the first time our kids ever went to an overnight camp – let alone be away from home for two weeks. However, the staff did an amazing job with the kids and they never had a hard time adjusting to their new environment. They learned to ride a bike, climb a wall, and sufficient German to help them during our vacation there right after the camp. There were some issues regarding cultural differences with one particular kid, but the team was always aware of it and quickly took corrective action to make sure it didn’t escalate. All inquiries and communications with the staff were answered immediately. The best litmus test for CampSuisse is the fact that the kids loved it and are demanding to go back next year. Thank you, CampSuisse! Great job.

It was my daughter’s first camp experience and she was probably one of the youngest so very impressed by the structure. Upon arrival my husband and I found everything was very well organized and well thought, still it was difficult for us to leave our daughter for the first time. We appreciated the time we spent to meet with Richard, the camp director and the staff. It was great that we could speak to her everyday by calling her camp counsellor but also to see amazing pictures on a daily basis. Day after day we couldn’t believe how enthousiastic she was, so many things to tell us! She particularly loved the banana boat activity, the hunt and climbing but overall everyday seemed to be great fun. She loved the food and enjoyed her language class in the morning. She asked if she would be allowed to stay 2 weeks next year so as another parent said previously: that says it all. Thanks again to all the staff for the beautiful moments shared with our kids.

Overall the camp was great- the staff were extremely friendly, enthusiastic and encouraging and the activities were varied and fun. My favourites were the huskys on the glacier, mountain biking, banana boating and the treetop adventure. I felt that our independence was respected by letting us go to the nearby convenience store and play our own music during dinner. My German lessons were challenging and pushed both the written and oral aspect of the language. My German teacher Katja’s enthusiasm for the language was infectuous! I would also say that the food we were served wasn’t bad, and that the salad bar was good, but that I missed fresh fruit and vegetables and that the food could definitely be improved by a range of vegetables available in all meals. The other guys in my group were really friendly, and we became firm friends, going wild and having loads of fun at prom and karaoke!

My son had never away from home for any length of time before so I didn’t know if this would be a disaster or a huge hit. Turns out he LOVED camp and while he said he did miss us, he had a great time. Camp Suisse was always very quick to respond to any inquiries I had, and I would recommend this camp to anyone in the future!!

Samantha had a wonderful time at Camp Suisse. She is already campaigning for a return next summer. This is the second summer in a row she has spent at a language camp in Europe. She was far more impressed with the accommodations (“her chalet”) and food at Camp Suisse. The activities like banana boating, hiking to France, and rock climbing were welcome breaks from the study part of the program. She really liked her German teachers and the rest of the staff. The staff we met at the airport while dropping her off and picking her up were very polite and helpful.

Camp was a great experience for my kids. Their first time there was last year and they loved it so much they asked to go back again this year. The staff are very attentive and you can really sense that they absolutely care about the kids welfare. They have also had a great opportunity to make friends with kids from other countries. Great experience! Fehintola

This was the first time my daughter travels away from home on her own. She had a blast during her two weeks at the camp. The breath taking view, compact activities, friendly and helpful staff, and most important the friends she made will be a memory that she takes with her for a lifetime. This experience gave her a boost of confidence and a refreshed start to the school year. From my perspective as a parent, the staff were always available by text or phone to address any queries I had. I loved hearing her bubbly voice in the evening telling me about all the exciting activities she did. What I personally loved is the fact they were not allowed their phones or internet access! If there is one thing I would change, I would make it clear to parents/children before hand that they will need to have an actual camera to use during excursions. My daughter took her ipod to use the camera and she wasn’t allowed to use. She was disappointed that she couldn’t take pictures of her trip to share with me and her friends. Thank you again, and we look forward to more adventure with Camp Suisse.

This was our first time sending our son away without a family member for such a long time. Alex loved every minute he spend at the camp and made such great friends while he was there. The team leaders and staff were very supportive and understanding that it made it easy for me as a mother to relax and stop worrying and trust that he was in good hands, the staff were always available, feedback was almost instant, reaction to events and situations were spot on and reassuring. I would definitely send Alex back next year and hopefully few of his friends from Dubai will be joining him to share the experience and fun. My only comment is that we would of loved a collection of videos and pictures to be sent home to share the memories with friends and family, maybe next year a CD or flash drive can be given to the children for keepsake. Thank you camp Suisse for the great summer holiday any child would love and appreciate.”

This was our son’s first time at Camp Suisse and he absolutely loved it! He’s already asking to return next year. Great job having so many activities to keep them busy from wake-up to lights out — he was never bored. His favorites were the dog-sledding, the water park, and mountain biking. I do wish there were more photos of the children doing different activities at camp.”

This was Jonathan’s first camp and he loved it. My wife and I were worried that he would be too young and maybe not mature enough for a stay-away camp. These fears proved to be unfounded. He had a wonderful time and although the weather did not allow for the magnificence of the area to be revealed he had no complaints. I stayed nearby in Champery and made the trek to the campus numerous times due to communication issues with my son during his shower hour. For US parents wishing to keep in contact with their kids I suggest having European cell phones and service on both ends. My only complaint would be that in a week he had but a few German classes. I expected a more immersive language environment for him.”

This is my kids 4th year and every year they come back full of lasting impressions along with new friends. It seems like the program caters to all interests and age groups. The staff are are organized, accommodating and helpful throughout for both parents and children and it really provides peace of mind that your children are being looked after. My one criticism as a 4th year parent to change the program a bit as every year it seems to be the same.”

Taylor and Garrett loved the camp. The food, the counselors and outings were great. Garrett’s favorite was the banana boating. Taylor said she leared more French in two weeks at camp than in two years at school. We felt they were safe, well cared for and having wonerful adventures. We appreciated the chance to speak with them every other day or so as this was the first time we’d left them in another country. Garrett especially gives Jack, Jordan and Paloma a big thumbs up!”

Itry was totally charmed by her experience at the camp. All the activities were exciting perhaps hiking was a heartbreak for her!!!!she will never forget the kindness of the staff, already missing each single one. She grew up with this experience , opened her mind to a brand new world. The food was a high quality , and language lessons were stimulating. But the day to remember was surely “the glacier ” with the dogs .she is still talking about it with sparkling words!!! Unforgettable !!!we would like to say that u are 100% professional and I m going to apply for next summer that’sfor sure. Our son William really enjoyed his time at camp. This was not our first camp experience, but it was our first experience with Camp Suisse. We sincerely hope that it will not be our last! Within an hour of arriving at camp our son made new friends, played free outside, skinned his knee, and received a bandage and heartfelt care from the staff. Everything we hope he would encounter on a 2-week, character-building trip – all rolled into his first hour on site! All the other activities are scheduled and to be expected (hiking, biking, climbing, swimming) – these are the things we “expect” and go by with little notice. Camp Suisse brought “unexpected” to our child: International friends, foods, languages and personalities while away from the “World” that may infringe on their ability to be kids in exploration. He made close bonds with kids from 6 countries, 4 religions, and 3 native languages while meeting many others. A truly International camp with International staff and accommodations for all who come. He was excited to tell us about all and sad to part ways at the end of the trip. To tell you his enjoyment – we received 1 text message and no calls from him in 2 weeks… He was busy and we were thrilled! We felt the sleeping accommodations were quite nice for a kids camp. Certainly nicer than camps we have experienced in the US. The campers were smartly arranged with the youngest campers nearest the counselors’ rooms and the older kids further down the hall. He made no mention of the food, which means it was adequate. He loved the activities but talked most about the fun times during the rainy night at the Outpost Camp. We are happy to have him back but he would much prefer to be with his friends and staff at Camp Suisse!

This was our first camping experience but it will certainly not be our last. Saifeldin had a blast his only disappointment was coming home. He thoroughly enjoyed his time. He was comfortable and the staff where amazingly supportive and helpful. As for us, his parents, our minds were put at ease from the start when the staff picking him up at the airport were friendly and kind but more importantly organized and professional. Saifeldin enjoyed so many things at the camp but mostly swimming in the lake and ridding on the sledge. We look forward to sending him and his younger brother to camp again next summer and do urge you to consider organizing a winter camp. All our best, Parents of Saifeldin Hafez”

Camp was a great experience for them. The kids become independent, they meet kids from all over the world, they learn to survive without their parents, they participate in super activities. They liked rock climbing, sledging with the huskies, the waterparc and they both really enjoyed the Olympic games and the Disco night. They also talked a lot about the night they camped outside. They both had a super time! They missed home a lot, it was their first time away from us, but still managed to enjoy camp a lot. Everyday had a new challenge for them. They did things they had never done before. The staff was very supportive especially at the beginning when the kids became a bit homesick. They always seemed to be close to the kids. I would like to thank especially Frances and Aisha. At all times they made me feel that the kids were safe and in good hands. THANK YOU!”

Since it was our first camp experience, it would have been useful to get a better idea of lodgings facilities. Perhaps some photos of the rooms would be useful. I think it is a great idea to have language classes in the morning and activities in the afternoon. Living in Tokyo, it was wonderful for the children to experience such vast nature in Torgon. When we picked them up, they excitedly talked about all their activities and how much fun they had. “It was scary, as it was my first camp experience” (8 year-old) “I loved tennis!” (8 year-old) “I loved river rafting!!” (10 year-old) Overall, the children seemed to have had a great time. Activities – The girls really enjoyed the outdoor and indoor activities-e.g. rock climbing, water activities, nature walks They also seemed to have enjoyed the Torgona Hunt (treasure hunt). Regarding the staff, everyone was very responsive when we had questions. We appreciated the timely response from the coordinator when we had concerns. We also felt reassured we could call in the evenings. Food – The salad was good, however, it would be nice to have some more fruit in the morning.
