Camp Suisse is seeking a talented and creative Photographer to join our team for the season in the stunning Swiss Alps. This is a unique opportunity for a passionate visual storyteller to document the Camp Suisse experience and bring our programme to life through high-quality imagery. You’ll be responsible for capturing the spirit, energy, and emotion of camp life ,not just documenting events, but showcasing what makes Camp Suisse special.

This role is ideal for someone who is artistic, professional, and a great communicator, able to blend in with the flow of camp while capturing unforgettable moments with both discretion and creativity.

Location: The role is predominantly based at our main camp in Les Crosets, a stunning but remote mountain village in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, Les Crosets offers the perfect environment for us to operate our camp, but has minimal local facilities in the summer. We also run camps in alternative locations, so you may be required to relocate for short periods to deliver your role elsewhere throughout the season.

Key Duties:

1. Communication

• Build rapport with campers and staff to create a comfortable environment for natural, candid photography.
• Interact confidently and professionally with people of all ages and cultural backgrounds.
• Work discreetly around groups, blending in seamlessly to capture real moments without disrupting activities.
• Understand the daily rhythm of camp life in order to be in the right place at the right time for key shots.
• Take initiative in approaching and communicating with group leaders, activity staff, and management to identify photo opportunities.

2. Creative Content Creation & Documentation

• Produce a wide range of high-quality photographs to build a comprehensive image library for:

  • The Camp Suisse brochure

  • Website and digital marketing

  • Social media

  • Internal and promotional materials

• Capture well-composed, emotive, and story-driven imagery that reflects the vibrancy and values of Camp Suisse.
• Photograph a variety of activities, excursions, mealtimes, and candid moments, ensuring visual coverage of all aspects of the camper experience.
• Ensure all images are sharp, well-lit, and edited appropriately for their intended use, these are not casual holiday snapshots, but professional-quality images with a creative edge.
• Maintain and organise all image files and back up your work regularly throughout the season.

3. Participation & Teamwork

• Work collaboratively with the marketing and management teams to align image style with branding and project goals.
• Communicate any logistical needs (e.g., attending certain excursions or events) in advance to the management team.
• Be flexible and proactive in responding to the changing daily needs of a busy seasonal camp environment.
• Embrace the team spirit of Camp Suisse by supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive, respectful workplace.
• Represent Camp Suisse in a professional and friendly manner while on location.

Personal requirements / characteristics:

We’re looking for a flexible and skilled photographer with a strong eye for visual storytelling and the ability to adapt quickly in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You should be comfortable photographing both candid and action shots, with an ability to capture moments that are genuine, emotive, and high-quality. It’s essential that you can connect well with children, young people, and staff, and that you can move fluidly through different camp environments without being disruptive. You must have experience in digital photography and post-processing, and ideally, you’ll bring your own equipment (camera body, lenses, memory cards, editing software, etc.). A valid driving licence and your own vehicle are required to allow you to travel between locations and reach off-site activity spots. Most importantly, you should have a passion for using your creativity to tell a story and leave a lasting impact through your images.
