Front of House Manager (French-speaking)

Age 21+

Camp Suisse Ski is seeking a dynamic, motivated French-speaking Front of House Manager to lead our restaurant and bar team in delivering exceptional food and beverage service to guests throughout the winter season. This role requires a confident, hands-on leader who is fluent in French and English, and who thrives in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.

You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day running of all front of house operations, including the restaurant and bar areas. You’ll work closely with the kitchen team to coordinate meal services, manage special dietary needs, and ensure high standards of cleanliness, efficiency and guest satisfaction.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with previous hospitality leadership experience – such as a restaurant supervisor, bar manager or front of house team leader – who is ready to take ownership of a key guest-facing department in an exciting alpine setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage front of house staff during all meal and bar services (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and evening service)

  • Ensure smooth daily operations of the restaurant and bar areas, including cleanliness, set-up and service standards

  • Serve guests directly at the bar and in the restaurant, including preparing hot drinks, cocktails, and other beverages

  • Take guest orders at the till, process payments, and oversee cash handling procedures

  • Liaise with kitchen and catering teams regarding menu plans, food allergens, and special diets

  • Support the implementation and monitoring of HACCP and hygiene procedures

  • Oversee stock control and stocktaking for both restaurant and bar supplies

  • Maintain accurate administrative records (staff rotas, HACCP logs, timesheets, order forms)

  • Train and motivate a diverse front of house team

  • Manage guest relations in a courteous, professional, and proactive manner

  • Serve as the main point of contact for guest queries relating to food and beverage service

Personal requirements/Characteristics

The ideal candidate will be fluent in both French and English, spoken and written, as this is essential for communicating effectively with guests, staff, and suppliers. You should have previous experience in a front of house supervisory or management role within the hospitality sector, with strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills. Competence in bar service, including cocktail and coffee preparation, is required, alongside a solid understanding of food service operations, allergen management, and HACCP protocols. You must be comfortable multitasking, working under pressure, and maintaining high attention to detail. Familiarity with till systems and cash handling procedures is essential. We are looking for someone who is proactive, flexible, and brings a hands-on approach to problem solving, while also being professional, approachable, and genuinely enthusiastic about delivering excellent service.

Remuneration

  • Accommodation for the duration of your contract
  • Three meals per day
  • Entrance / admissions / equipment relating to all activities in which you participate as part of your role
  • Competitive salary
  • Accident Insurance
