Drivers

Ages: 25+

We are looking for a category D driver (PCV + CPC) who is more than a driver! Specifically a good ‘all-rounder’, a flexible, adaptable, capable individual who is forward-thinking, self-motivated and with good planning and organisational skills. You must enjoy driving in all conditions, including snow, and having an interest in our other camp activities and sports is a huge advantage. This is a varied and interesting role with both driving and non-driving responsibilities.

Camp Suisse Ski is looking for a qualified, confident PCV Driver with a full Category D licence, CPC, and digital tachograph card, but who is more than just a driver. This is a dynamic, varied role for a capable all-rounder who enjoys being part of a busy camp environment. You’ll be an essential part of the team, delivering reliable and safe transportation services while also supporting camp operations in other ways.

If you’re organised, proactive, enjoy working with people, and love driving in the mountains, even in winter conditions, this could be the perfect seasonal opportunity. An interest in outdoor activities or interacting with campers is a bonus!

Location: The role is predominantly based at our main camp in Les Crosets, a stunning but remote mountain village in the Swiss Alps. Surrounded by breathtaking alpine scenery, Les Crosets offers the perfect environment for us to operate our camp, having minimal local facilities in the summer, but a beautiful family-friendly ski resort in winter. We also run camps in alternative locations, so you may be required to relocate for short periods to deliver your role elsewhere throughout the season.

Key Duties:

1. Communication

1. Communication

  • Liaise daily with the camp directors and managers to receive schedules and assignments.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with campers, staff, and guests during all transfers and transport services.
  • Represent Camp Suisse in a courteous and responsible manner when driving, assisting passengers, or interacting with third parties.
  • Report vehicle issues, safety concerns, or incidents promptly to management.

2. Driving & Operational Responsibilities

  • Safely operate Camp Suisse or locally hired vehicles for a range of driving duties, including airport and station transfers, equipment transport, shopping runs, and excursions.
  • Drive responsibly on narrow, alpine, and potentially snowy roads, often using 4WD vehicles and occasionally towing trailers.
  • Load and unload vehicles, helping with luggage, equipment, laundry, shopping, or camper supplies.
  • Run and record daily vehicle checks in accordance with CPC regulations and company policy.
  • Ensure company vehicles are kept clean, roadworthy, and well maintained.
  • Provide friendly, helpful support to passengers including campers, staff, parents, and teachers.
  • Be willing to participate in other aspects of camp life when not driving. This may include basic maintenance, cleaning, logistics support, or event help.

3. Participation & Teamwork

  • Be an active and dependable member of the transport and support staff team.
  • Take part in camp life beyond driving, supporting arrivals, departures, special events, and emergencies.
  • Work collaboratively with staff across all departments, responding to changing priorities and supporting operational needs.
  • Contribute to the safety, wellbeing, and positive experience of campers throughout the season.
  • Show initiative and flexibility in a team-focused, fast-paced camp environment.

Personal requirements / characteristics:

You must hold a full Category D driving licence, a valid Driver CPC qualification, and a digital tachograph card. Experience driving in winter or mountain conditions is strongly preferred, as is the ability to manoeuvre a trailer. You should be practical, responsible, and physically fit to handle lifting and loading duties. A positive, professional attitude and strong people skills are essential. This role is well-suited to drivers who enjoy variety, being outdoors, and contributing beyond just transport duties.

Remuneration:

  • Accommodation for the duration of your contract
  • Three meals per day
  • Entrance / admissions / equipment relating to all activities in which you participate as part of your role
  • Competitive salary
  • Accident Insurance
