Camp Suisse is looking for friendly, reliable individuals to be part of the team responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across our hotel and camp facilities. As a Cleaner/ Housekeeping Staff Member, you’ll help create a safe, tidy, and welcoming environment for campers, guests, and staff alike.
Working as part of a small cleaning team, you’ll carry out daily and deep cleaning tasks in guest rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, and dining spaces, ensuring everything is kept to an excellent standard. This is a key behind-the-scenes role that directly impacts the comfort, health, and safety of everyone on site.
Location: The role is predominantly based at our main camp in Les Crosets, a beautiful family-friendly ski resort in the Swiss Alps. We also run ski camps in alternative locations, so you may be required to relocate for short periods to deliver your role elsewhere throughout the season.
Key Duties:
1. Communication
- Work under the guidance of the Housekeeping Supervisor and liaise with other team members to ensure a consistent cleaning schedule is followed.
- Communicate clearly with other departments (e.g. kitchen, maintenance) to report issues or request assistance as needed.
- Respond to feedback or requests from management promptly and professionally.
- Report any health or safety hazards, broken equipment, or lost property immediately.
2. Cleaning & Housekeeping Responsibilities

- Clean and maintain guest and camper accommodation, including bedrooms, corridors, stairs, and en-suite bathrooms.
- Undertake deep cleaning tasks during changeovers—stripping and remaking beds, deep cleaning bathrooms and communal spaces, and preparing rooms for new arrivals.
- Ensure cleaning supplies are managed responsibly and that storage areas are kept clean, stocked, and organised.
- Follow all hygiene and safety procedures to maintain a safe and healthy environment for all guests.
- Maintain a good awareness of camper and guest welfare, including identifying and reporting any concerns related to cleanliness or safety.
3. Participation & Teamwork
- Work collaboratively with the rest of the housekeeping team to complete tasks efficiently and effectively.
- Support other departments (e.g. kitchen, front of house) during peak periods or special events if required.
- Attend staff briefings or training sessions as directed.
- Be flexible, adaptable, and proactive in supporting the needs of the camp and its guests.
- Contribute to a positive, respectful, and hardworking team environment.

- Be responsible for the health, safety and welfare of our campers and guests for the duration of their stay
Points to note:
We are looking for approachable, flexible team players with a strong work ethic and a keen eye for detail. You should be able to work quickly and efficiently, both independently and as part of a team. Previous professional cleaning experience is helpful but not essential. Reliability, physical stamina, and a sense of pride in maintaining clean, welcoming spaces are key. You should also be prepared to work in a dynamic, multicultural camp environment and respond to changing priorities when needed.
