Yesterday morning saw the red group have a go at mountain biking. For the three campers who hadn’t riden a bike very much before, they had the opportunity to have 1-2-1 support to help develop their confidence and skills. For the other campers, they had the opportunity to fine tune their skills and then ride back down the
mountain to camp.
The afternoon saw the red group have a 2-hour language lesson before either going climbing, playing football or doing arts and crafts in the afternoon.
Evening entertainment yesterday involved karaoke so the campers could show everyone how to really sing.
What a busy day!

This morning the entire camp was treated to a well deserved lie in, followed by a Nutella filled breakfast for reds and blues. Room inspections then began after the campers had made sure their bedrooms were perfect and clean for another week at camp.
Once the rooms were perfect and lunch was finished, exciting times laid ahead as Olympic day began.
Campers were sorted into different countries with members from red group up to yellow group. Campers got to put on face paint, make up chants and design a flag for their respective countries. The Olympic ceremony began with the lighting of the Olympic torch while each team descended to their national anthem. Campers then all headed to the football pitch where they competed in fun games such as an egg and spoon race, tug of war and frisbee golf. After touch competition, Brazil were crowned the Olympic gold medalists, closely followed by Japan and Egypt, with Maria Sofia and Adam G from green group winning prizes! The Olympics was followed by an impromptu water fight and then shower hour. Evening entertainment was an elective, with green group choosing to relax and do yoga, dance with a Zumba class and play more sports. Overall a great day!

Today Red Group woke up bright and early. Breakfast was at 6.15 am and although some campers looked really sleepy it was all worth it once we got up to Glacier 3000. On getting to the base we hopped on two cable cars, the views were absolutely mesmerising. Once we got to the top, Reds went to have some fun with the huskies. Our four-legged friends were without a doubt the highlight of the day. We even got the opportunity of petting them.
After some sledging and snowball fights it was time for some well deserved lunch. This filled them up with energy and prepared them for the Alpine rollercoster and the Peak Walk which consisted of crossing a suspension bridge which is almost 3000m up in the air.
All in all, it was a fantastic trip and as some campers described it: “an experience of a lifetime.”

After a morning of languages, it was time for the blues and reds to go banana boating and swimming at Villeneuve. It was a great experience and an exciting day for everyone and no one came off banana boating without having taken a dip in the lake. Smiles all round for what was a fantastic day.

Today was a fabulous day for Red Group, despite the early wake up call at 5.45 am. Our campers visited Glacier 3000 and went sledding, husky dog sledding, and admired the beautiful panoramic views by walking along the suspension bridge.
After lunch, we headed back down the mountain to Villeneuve Swimming Pool to cool down in the lake and pool, and try the diving boards.
