Session 4 – Day One – Red Group

8th August 2016

Today Red Group started the day off with a fantastic breakfast, which set them up perfectly for their language tests. Our campers had their first language lesson that morning, which went down very well.

After a delicious hot lunch, Red Group walked to the football pitch for their archery session. Everyone put in 100% effort and did so well!

After dinner, our campers spent the evening playing sports. What a great first day for Red Group!

Session 4 – Arrivals Day

7th August 2016

All of our campers arrived safely at camp, ready for a week of adventure, excitement, and fun!

Our campers got to know each other over dinner, before having our first group meeting to go over new information, and then playing some ice-breaker games.

Everyone is definitely looking forward to the week ahead; we can’t wait to see what it brings!

Session Three – Day Twelve – Red Group

5th August 2016

Today was Mission Day for all of our campers, which meant that Red Group were split up and mixed up with campers from other colour groups to form squadrons. In their groups, our campers worked together to complete various missions, such as the vertical agility mission (rock climbing), the advanced mobility mission (mountain biking), team building games and many more missions.

All of the squadrons tried their best but at the end of the day, it Team Bravo who took out the title!

Later that night, after a delicious formal meal, our campers went to the 2016 Camp Suisse Prom. All of our campers got dressed up and danced their way to the end of Session Three.

Session 3 – Day Eleven – Red Group

4th August 2016

Red Group were very lucky today as they visited the Callier Chocolate Factory. They learned the history of the company’s success and were even lucky enough to a try selection of the chocolates!

After Red Group were suitably stuffed with chocolate they took a short bus journey to Gruyères, the town made famous by its cheese! There they enjoyed a picnic lunch, a play in the park, a walk around the castle and they even had time to browse the shops.

The evening was spent playing staff v. camper football. Unsurprisingly, the campers won… And our campers went to bed, feeling victorious!

Session 3 – Day Nine – Red Group

2nd August 2016

Red Group started the day with a refreshing hike down the mountain from the Alpine Refuge Centre. After a speedy change of clothes, our campers were ready to head off to the Villeneuve Swimming Pool.

After a picnic lunch, the afternoon was spent swimming, diving and playing in Lake Geneva and the pool.

Red Group then had a much-needed, relaxing Casino night before heading to bed, ready for tomorrow’s activities.

Session 3 – Day Eight – Red Group

1st August 2016

Red Group started the day with language lessons. Camp was filled with the sounds of French, German, Spanish and English! The children began to think of ideas for the Camp Suisse Talent Showcase 2016.

After a fantastic hot lunch, Red Group were ready to hike to the camping site. They all did so well and made it in one piece!

They enjoyed a BBQ dinner followed by friendship bracelet making, stories and colouring in.

The evening was spent munching on chocolate bananas. A perfect end to a perfect day!

Session 3 – Day Seven – Red Group

31st July 2016

Today Red Group started the day by tidying their bedroom. The campers showed us how independent they were by making their own beds, folding their clothes and sweeping their floors. After that we took camp photos for the yearbook  then had a delicious hot lunch.

In the afternoon the children created their own countries and competed in Camp Suisse Olympics Day. Congratulations to ‘Dreamland’ who were the winners. Finally, this evening the campers set off on a mission to slay Count Dracula – but to do this they had to complete a series of challenges to collect all the required weapons. Using team work they managed to slay Count Dracula and all in plenty of time for bed!

Session 3 – Day Six – Red Group

30th July 2016

Red Group started the day with their language lessons. Everybody threw themselves into their languages and made real progress whilst having fun. After a splendid hot lunch Red Group went down to the football field to do archery. It is safe to say that we have some future potential Olympic archers in the group. Red Group finished the day with multiple ‘Forest Fun’ activities which wore them out just in time for bed.

Session 3 – Day Four – Red Group

28th July 2016

This morning Red Group started their day with their language lessons. The centre was filled with kids having fun in French, German, Spanish and English. After a lovely hot lunch at camp we headed off to the football pitch to play sports including rounders, football and capture the flag. After an afternoon of sports we headed back for a well earned dinner. During dinner we were treated to the spectacular sight of a double rainbow outside the window, it was beautiful! After dinner Red Group played splat and then bingo. Another great day at Camp Suisse.

Session 3 – Day Three – Red Group

27th July 2016

Red Group woke up at 5:30 am to get the best possible experience from their trip to Glacier 3000! After taking two gondolas and a ski lift, our campers arrived and were treated to a trip on the dog sleds, a roller coaster ride in the snow, some sledging, and a walk across a suspension bridge to the peak.

Once back at camp, Red Group campers got to choose between sports, arts and crafts, or chilling out with friends. Fun was had by all!

To finish off an amazing day, Red Group spent the evening watching a film with cup of tasty hot chocolate!
