On their first full day at camp the reds and blues spent the morning in their sports or language sessions. After lunch, the juniors set off into the forest for a mountain adventure day. We first learnt how to light fires- which Chloe, Malena and Erin we’re particularly good at- not only did they light their cotton wool using a fire striker, but also were winning team in the campfire construction competition!
We then moved on to shelter building, where we learnt the best way to construct shelters safely. We found that Roxy and Charles had a particular eye for interior design – as homely touches of skylights, doormats and ovens were added to the otherwise basic shelters.
After shower hour and dinner, the reds and blues undertook Torgonahunt. We split into 2 teams and searched for the answers to Torgon related questions in the square. Huge shout out to ‘The Hovering Potatoes’ (Lei Lei, Erin, Samuel, Malena, Charles and Emma) for winning with a whopping 19/20!
After a tiring day, everyone headed to bed (after our bedtime braiding session with the Blue girls) and we look forward to a day at Labyrinth Adventure tomorrow.

The reds and blues had a fantastic day today at the chocolate factory and town of Gruyere! We arrived at the factory after a speedy bus journey and took a tour of the factory. Mary and Eli particularly enjoyed the interactive tour, and Isabel’s favorite part was the chocolate taste test at the end!
After a short bus journey we arrived to the old town of Gruyere and after having a spot of lunch spent a few sunny hours looking around the town and playing in the shade. We kept cool by splashing around in the fountain – Ari and Keira got their own back on the leaders by drenching them with their freshly filled water bottles!
After a sleepy journey home, we are looking forward to dinner and a game of bingo to end a delicious day at camp!

Our junior campers traveled down to the famous Château de Chillon today. A stunning Château on the edge of lake Geneva, it was sure to be a great morning. The campers were treated to a tour around the castle given by the amazing and knowledgeable members of staff who in full costume do a brilliant job of take the campers back in time!
After a lunch stop by the lake we went traveled the short distance to Villeneuve beach to enjoy a busy afternoon of swimming, table tennis, games and wait for it… Banana Boating! A definite favourite among campers!
Everyone had a great time and were ready for a tasty dinner followed by a fun filled quiz for the evening activity.

Morning language classes and sports were a brilliant start to the day. The reds and blues studied animals in French class, with Jimena demonstrating an excellent knowledge of animals. In English, it was studying food and making up recipes for their favourite food. Sports was a fun but competitive game of indoor hockey which everyone got thoroughly stuck into.
The afternoon, everyone channeled their inner Robin Hood with a archery masterclass which the campers loved and excelled in. If this wasn’t enough adventure for one day the reds and blues then went on to learn all things bush craft. They lit a cozy fire while telling stories and singing songs.
Finishing off the jam packed day with an evening of relay races and obstacle courses! What a brilliant Thursday!

The Reds and Blues had an early start this morning as we headed to Glacier 3000. The trip began with two gondola rides up to the peak, despite the clouds moving in and the visibility not at its best spirits were still high. Ines won our competition to see who could stand on one leg the longest on the moving gondola, what a champ!
First stop was the husky dog sledding, with everyone getting a chance to race around the glacier and even meet the huskies for a stroke or two, a rare treat! Ari made friends with a husky called Arry as they bonded over their similar sounding names.
After we went to make the most of the snow with some tobogganing. Working hard to race to get to the top in the snow then flying back down.
The highlight of our trip was of course the Alpine Rollercoaster, which everyone agrees was super fun. A busy and brilliant day for he reds and blues. Everyone will be sleeping well tonight!

It’s Monday 13th of July and the red and blue groups have just returned from a fantastic day at Labyrinth Adventure. Our junior groups had an absolute blast on the slides, bouncy castles, bikes, and climbing frames. When we asked the campers about their highlights, Cali and Isabel said they particularly loved the donut water slide, while Keira and Dannika enjoyed playing in the sprinklers.
A fun day was had by all and we had some very sleepy campers on the bus journey back up the mountain. The juniors are now looking forward to dinner and a junkyard band activity to round off a great day!

Today was a great day at Camp Suisse. Kickstarted with breakfast followed by language classes, the campers were then set the ‘egg drop’ challenge: an competition where each team has to design a shield to protect their egg – the team(s) with an egg still in one piece were the winner!
After lunch, the campers went to the climbing wall and spent the rest of the afternoon climbing and having fun. After refuelling with a nutritious and delicious dinner in the dining hall, they played capture the flag before going to bed and rest before the next day.

On our first day we had the chance to enjoy the variety of activities and landscapes that Switzerland has to offer. We have had breakfast at 6.30 so that we could arrive to the glacier around 9am. The glacier can only be accessed by taking a gondola, which provides a panoramic view of the surrounding mountain ranges. The first thing we did in the glacier was taking a ride on the highest Alpine Roller coaster in the world (the pictures are now available on Smugmug!). We then walked to the bottom of the hill and spent some time with the huskies. We also had the chance to do some sledging on the snow. We then took the chairlift to come back and had lunch in the sun. After that, we drove to Villeneuve swimming pool, which has access to lake Geneva. We lay in the sun, dived in the water, ate ice cream… It was a lovely day full of contrasts!

Arrivals day is always special. For the kids that were already in camp, they left at 9am for an awesome excursion to the Olympics Museum in Lausanne. This museum is very interactive and we could get to know everything we wanted about the Olympics. After the museum, we had lunch next to Lake Geneva before heading back to Camp. Meanwhile, the new kids arriving at camp experienced a climbing session and had a chance to get to know each other. Just before dinner, reds and blues had some time to enjoy fresh air and play on the playground just outside of camp. After a hearty dinner the campers launched in to playing some ice-breaker and team building games.
