Red and Blue Group ÛÒ Ready, Set Go!
27th July 2014
The campers in Red and Blue Group spent the morning getting lost in the maze at Labyrinth Adventure! There were giant inflatables and slides for everyone to have a play on.
Soon it was time for lunch and the campers set off for the International Olympic Museum. It was great to learn about the history of the Olympic Games and a highlight was racing a computer hologram of Usain Bolt on the outdoor Olympic track!
Continuing on the sports theme, the Pastoral Leaders had a great evening activity planned of sports!
Green and Yellow Group ÛÒ Life on the crag!
The campers in Green and Yellow Group enjoyed a great morning in the language lessons. Afterwards everyone headed down the mountain and to the crag for some rock climbing!
The Activity Leaders demonstrated techniques for the campers to use and taught them about climbing safely. Everyone was raring to go and soon the campers were encouraging each other and demonstrating some great team support!
Soon it was time to head back to Camp Suisse for ‘Shower Hour’ and dinner – oh and not forgetting an evening on the football pitch playing sports!
All Groups ÛÒ Last Day of the Adventure!

The campers had a great Camp Suisse Olympic day!
It started by being divided into countries and displaying patriotism by painting flags on their faces and creating chants. Then there was the opening ceremony, the campers paraded to the countries national anthems.
The centre was filled with excitement as the countries competed against each other in various sporting challenges, classic games like the ‘Egg and Spoon Race’ and a mix of Camp Suisse’s own creative obstacle courses.
At Lunch time all the countries had completed the six challenges and had worked up an appetite!
In the afternoon the winners were announced and it was a tie between the USA and Mexico! There was only one way to decide the overall winner and that was a ‘Black Socks’ sing off – the athletes from USA sang the loudest and won!
With still more energy to burn, many of the campers then took part in a mammoth football tournament, whilst others watched a DVD and did some arts and crafts.
In the evening everyone dressed to impress for the Camp Suisse disco! The campers danced and sang along to their favourite songs.
Well, it’s been a great time with you all and we hope to see you next summer to continue our adventure!
Red Group – Making the Climb!
23rd July 2014
The campers in Red Group were busy in their language lessons in the morning.
After lunch everyone climbed aboard the Camp Suisse coach which took them to our amazing outdoor climbing! The campers loved it and whizzed up the rock face.
Back at camp there was a lot of excitement in the air because after dinner the campers had to perform in the Camp Suisse Talent Show! The Red Group delighted the audience with performances of the classics ‘The Three Little Pigs’ and ‘Cinderella’!
Great fun!
Blue and Green Group ÛÒ Orienteering
The campers in Blue and Green Group had a great morning in their language lessons!
After lunch it was time to practice their map making skills with the Activity Leaders and then have a go at using the new maps to guide their way around Camp Suisse.
Everyone also had a great afternoon playing some sports and getting in the team spirit!
In the evening there was a real buzz in the air as the campers were participating in the Camp Suisse Talent Show. Everyone put on an amazing performance!
Bravo!
Yellow Group ÛÒ Talent Show!
The campers had a short hike back down to camp for a shower and some free time before lunch.
Once everyone had ate lunch, it was time for an important languages session as all the groups prepared their performances for the Camp Suisse Talent Show!
After dinner it was show time and not a single group disappointed, with Oscar worthy acting, beautiful singing and perfect pronunciations all round.
Red and Blue Group ÛÒ Arts and Crafts!

The campers woke up to a yummy breakfast at the Alpine Outpost and then hiked back to Camp Suisse for more fun and laughter!
Once everyone had settled back into their rooms at Camp Suisse, it was time for lunch then the afternoon activity. The campers enjoyed getting creative making postcards, bracelets and many other things.
Soon it was time to have some fun on the climbing wall and a special ‘well done’ to Lina and Tekana who both made it to the top of the wall in record time!
During the evening the campers had a great time playing bingo!
Green Group ÛÒ The Golden Ticket!
The campers from Green Group enjoyed a trip to the Callier chocolate factory! There was an interactive tour about the beginnings of the worlds’ love for chocolate, to the development of the Callier brand.
At the end of the tour the campers were invited to taste all the different kinds of chocolate made at the factory – what a treat?!
In the afternoon the campers all explored Gruyere Old Town and ate lunch on the medieval city wall.
Once back at Camp Suisse everyone enjoyed an evening playing a music quiz with some great sing-songs!
Yellow Group – Camping
A change of scenery for the morning, with the campers enjoying some team building games and sports rather than their usual language classes!
After a few problem solving games the group were communicating better and working well together! Next they did some hockey relays in the sports hall before a big tournament to bring us to lunch!
Once lunchwas over, seven of the campers requested to take the long hike up to camping as opposed to the short one- it was great to see such enthusiasm!
Everyone got some free time and soon it was time for an indoor barbecue! We had a couple of quizzes and played sardines for over an hour!
Red and Blue Group – Camping
21st July 2014
In the morning the Red and Blue group campers attended their language lessons and continued rehearsals for the Camp Suisse Talent Show.
After lunch everyone packed for their overnight stay at the Alpine Outpost and then hiked their way up to the outpost. Soon the campers arrived at the picturesque location and enjoyed playing games and then had a delicious BBQ!
The campers spent the rest of the evening dancing, taking part in a quiz and singing camping songs!
