Ecole Internationale de Genève Arrive !!
19th June 2017
It was a busy and extremely exciting day today at Camp Suisse with the arrival of three different schools!! Our activity leaders wasted no time once the students were ready and settled and it was off up to our mountain refuge for some () camping. The hike up there was spectacular and the students were excitement meant that they made it to the camp sight in very good time. With a push and lots of commitment from the whole group, we were even able to make it to the beautiful and impressive French border! That’s something to boast about. Some of the more energetic youngsters even helped out the staff to set up the refuge; learning some great camping skills! Their reward was some beautiful views, cosy bunk beds and some camp fire fun. The Day of Arrivals
The pattern of a quick introduction in to Camp life was upheld by our excited camp leaders and Geneva English School were whisked straight off to our MTB in order to tune up our trail riding skills. Everyone loved the ride down the mountain, taking extra detours to find the best and most exciting routes.
As the evening drew in, it was all fun and games at our picturesque football pitch. The student used up the last of their energy and headed to bed to be ready for a big day tomorrow!
Diving, Swimming and Splashing
The weather was in Conyers’ favour once again and we LOVED Villeneuve swimming pool!! So much swimming, so much diving and splashing and so much fun! The students were able to move freely between the fun swimming pool and the beautiful Lake! The fun included three levels of diving boards and a pontoon on which the children were able to sit on the Lake!
Then after lunch, there was an atmospheric stroll to the sophisticated and elegant town of Montreux along the incredible Lake Geneva. The students were able to see the beautiful mountains on the horizon and there was even a beautiful castle with a moat on the Lakeside. Before we headed back to camp, everybody enjoyed some all important shopping time on the Montreux riviera!
Chocolate / Schokolade / Cioccolato

A special treat for arrival of Conyers School today- everyone loved the chocolate factory and plenty of supplies were bought! Afterwards, the fun continued as we enjoyed a spot of lunch in a medieval park and took a wander around the historic town of Crayere and its castle – trés Suisse!
After dinner, a short walk to our incredible football pitch for a run around and some exciting games with even more exciting names! Everything from ‘Pirates’ Ship’ to ‘chicken in a hen house’ and even a game of ‘Splat!’: you can imagine the madness.

Time for the Northerners!!

After a long 22 hour journey from the beautiful north of England, Conyers school from Yorkshire finally arrived to a blazing and bright afternoon in the Swiss Alps ! Although understandably tired, the excitement was enough to keep the energy and the mood high. Being a particularly sporty group of teens, after a quick rest, the students were whisked away to our favourite football field for some relaxed fun. As they were stunned by the impressive mountains surrounding our favourite pitch, the students played some classic games of rounders and football to satisfy their sporting appetites. When everybody was finally ready to go back, the youngsters quickly headed to bed for some much earned rest before their exciting Chocolate factory adventures the next day. Stay tuned!!
Sports & Bushcraft survival skills

Steve & Toria wowed Moser school once again with an energetic sports coaching session and even a few of their own original games! It’s safe to say there is never a dull moment when they are around. The afternoon was filled with fun and survival skills- we built shelters, lit fires and made our own water filters! Did someone say Sphagnum moss?
After we headed back it was time to party with Culford prep school. DJ Steve rocked our socks at the Disco and everyone hit the dance floor! The Macarena & Cha cha slide definitely got every moving and laughing and we even saw some break dancing on display!

Up and over the mountain-Tanay Hike
With a stroke of luck, the weather picked upon Thursday so Culford prep were able to go on our lovely and anticipated hike to the beautiful Lake Tanay. The way there was challenging, on rocky mountain paths and a muddy cow field, but everyone rose up to the task and we made it to the Lake in good time! There was even time for a cheeky swim! Those who were brave enough, followed activity leader Frankie’s example, and jumped right on in. Thankfully, the coach was there to pick us up at the end of it all so we were able to rest after our activity filled day!
After dinner, it was time to crank the music up and boogie with Moser for the Disco with DJ Steve. There were some serious shapes being thrown on the dance floor! An awesome day for all; with some very tired legs at the end of it!
A very a-moo-sing day !!

Wednesday morning consisted of the return from the mountainside refuge & Climbing Wall for Moser International School.
We woke up this morning to some thundery showers, but luckily, we were all cosy in our bunks in the Chalet du Croix. Then, a break in the weather meant we were able to enjoy the walk back down the mountain! Hot showers were enjoyed by all back at camp, followed by lunch which sett us up for the afternoon! Steve & Toria’s climbing wall session was fantastically fun filled and adventurous. Song requests for the upcoming disco were rewards for completing challenges and campers could be heard from all around shouting and laughing!
After a delicious dinner, we enjoyed Chef Adam’s delicious hot chocolate in our adorable cow mugs; very a-moo-sing! Then we all chilled out in front of a film- the perfect way to end such a cracking day!
Slides and rides at Aqua Parc
A rainy start to the day, but that didn’t matter as Culford headed to the water park! For the more chilled out, there was plenty of lazy river action and for the adrenalin seekers; a huuuge variety of slides and rides to whizz down! Something for everyone!
Somehow, after this there was even still enough energy for some climbing and handball. The determined campers scaled the climbing wall multiple times, tackling a various array of different routes and challenges. Handball got unsurprisingly very competitive, with the girls’ netball skills coming in very handy!
Ecole Moser’s camping adventure

Archery on the football pitch with Tori and Siobhan was wild, whacky and great fun. After some important safety briefings and top class coaching, it was time to challenge ourselves on the range in a winner takes all competition. Emotions were high and commitment was strong… stay tuned for the results to be released later in the week!
Lunch was back at camp where we then had to get ready for our overnight camping experience in a intriguing Alpine refuge nestled in the mountain side. Led by Steve, we set off on the 3 hour hike in summer sunshine; destination unknown. Apart from the great outdoors, the best part of camping is of course the camp fire, songs and toasting of marshmallows and banana boats. Toria’s camp fire songs are going to be blasted out at full volume all week long….sorry guys!
