An aMAZEing day for the Reds and Blues!

11th July 2022

Today the Reds and Blues were at Labyrinthe Adventure fun park! And what an adventure it was! We had intrepid explorers like Dylan and Pierre scale the 5 story tower and slide aaallllll the way down.

We also had loads of fun on the many bouncy castles with Jaida managing to navigate the difficult inflatable obstacle course despite the interventions of Joaquim 😉

We also explored the namesake of the park, the labyrinth itself, with its many twists and turns (and a few secret passages!) Omar and Yasmine turned out to be amazing pathfinders and managed to help their groups out of the treacherous maze!

It was a great day all around, especially rounded off by Layan’s birthday cake, which ended up all over her face after some surprises by her table at dinner!

Thanks to all the Reds and Blues for a fantastic day!

The Reds and Blues go camping!

7th July 2022

The reds and blues had a VERY exciting adventure today, they set off an an invigorating hike to the Ski Club in Planachaux. They dealt with this task tremendously, and made great time to our refuge in the mountains. They learned campfire songs such as TARZAN and THE PIRATE SHANTY, and we also told our campfire stories, with Sebas even making his one up on the spot!

We also tried some spooky games like Werewolf, where Noah masterfully convinced the entire group that he was innocent, all the while actually being a werewolf the entire time!

Finally, with some yummy marshmallows and chocolate we binged movies including despicable me and Madagascar which Izzy particularly enjoyed.

Our adventure in the mountains, was a resounding success and everyone really enjoyed camping!

The Reds and Blues become Linguistic Legends!

4th July 2022

As the sun rose in Les Crosets this morning, our incredible reds and blues channelled their inner linguistic talents as they smashed their language lessons out of the park. Elias put the staff to shame on his knowledge of the English alphabet whilst Shaadin and Leyaan completed a brilliant Spanish project. Equally, despite being a beginners, Tomas, Noah and Sebastian took to French like ducks to water.

After a yummy lunch if toasted paninis, the reds and blues headed to Montreux for the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival. McDonald’s chicken nuggets were a welcome sight as Leyaan said it was the best food she had eaten all week and Elias and Mika found some fabulous minion toys in their happy meals and quickly became best friends.

Emma, Lucy and Isabel won a prize for finding the most expensive item in Montreux as well as striking fabulous Freddie Mercury poses. At the same time, Macram, Noah and Alex completed the Montreux scavenger hunt at lightening speed.

We were also so proud of Leyaan today as she showed exceptional kindness to a member of the public in Montreux today.

All in all a fabulous day had by our brilliant reds and blues who make us so proud!

The Rocking Reds and Brilliant Blues go Banana Boating

30th June 2022

The Rocking Reds and Brilliant Blues had such an amazing day today! We came down to Lake Geneva and did some banana boating! To start, we swam in the most beautiful swimming pool in Villeneuve. Amelia was practically a beautiful mermaid! John didn’t want to get out of the pool either! All of the reds and blues had a blast in the pool. We then did banana boating! Shaadin, Layaan, Emma and Amelia were lucky enough to be the first group trying it! They were also lucky enough to fall and take a dip in lake Geneva. Mirta and Iris were in the second group and we somehow managed to fall twice and had so much fun while doing it!

Makram and Alex were also the bravest when doing the banana boating!

Luckily we have a relaxing movie session ahead of us this evening!

The Rocking Reds and the Brilliant Blues

28th June 2022

Once upon a time the Brilliant Blues and Rocking Reds took on the majestic Castle in Chillon as they smashed a scavenger hunt around the castle filling their brains with amazing history facts. Who knew knights at the castle had three choices of armour each day? We even got to see how toilets worked for the Lords and Ladies of the time; definitely a favourite among the reds and blues. Shaadin and Maisy re- enacted Rapunzal beautifully.

After lunch on the picturesque Lake Geneva we took on the Aqua Parc. Alex and Macram channeled their inner thrill seekers smashing the big scary slides whilst Mika, Léo and John swam better than Micheal Phelps on the lazy river. Maisy and Leyaan showed the waves who was boss on the wave pool and the waves had nothing on them.  Amelia and Emma shined their sun shining personalities as always being gorgeous kind friends to the whole group.

All all our amazing reds and blues made us proud again! Well done legends!

Red & Blue Groups: Foraging in the Great Outdoors!

27th July 2021

The Reds and Blues had a fantastic day today exploring the grounds around Camp Suisse. They went on a foraging expedition in the morning and managed to find themselves a treasure trove of edible plants out in nature. After what seemed like a long and fruitless (pun intended) search, Marijus managed to find a patch of strawberries large enough to feed the whole group! Other plants like Woodsorrel and Beach leaves were tasted and the campers really enjoyed their culinary experiment.

We also had sports at the football pitch in the afternoon with some superstar performances put in by Maisy’s brick wall defence and Nicolas’s amazing goals. We then played capture the flag which was hotly contested. And some campers decided instead to build a fairy fort which included a kitchen, a mine, defensive areas and of course many houses for the fairies. All in all, a great day was had by our campers in the great outdoors!

Red & Blue Groups: Chocolate Factory!

26th July 2021

Today all of our Red and Blue campers woke up bright and early, as usual, for the most eagerly anticipated excursion of all… The Chocolate Factory! They all fuelled their bellies with breakfast before setting off on our adventure. From the moment we arrived, we were overwhelmed by the amazing aroma of the cocoa beans oozing from the factory.

Our campers’ language skills were put to the test, as they each listened to the tour in their target language. Mia, Gia and Maisy all enjoyed the French version, while Nicolas, Mariia, Mathilde and others followed the tour in English. Finally the moment we had all been waiting for … The taste test! 🍫 All the campers got the opportunity to try out some of the freshly made chocolate before buying some in the souvenir shop.

All in all a fantastic day. Until tomorrow!

Red & Blue Groups: Languages, Ultimate Survivor, and Pizza Night!

25th July 2021

Today our campers got ready for the language talent show (which is taking place on Tuesday). They were busy preparing dramas, musicals and one class is even doing the news! I wonder what they’ll come up with next ??! In the afternoon they took on Bear Grills in ‘Ultimate Survivor’; they learned how to build a fire, filter water and even how to make a shelter. Maybe they don’t need their chalets any more ??

Lastly, the campers took a trip to the Caprins Pizzeria, where they indulged in the finest pizza and pasta in the best restaurant in Torgon. WHAT A TREAT !

See you tomorrow for more fabulous updates

Camp Suisse Olympics

24th July 2021

Today was the Olympics, and all campers from Reds right up to Yellows, took part. It all began with an opening ceremony for the ages, replete with chants, dances and even some mock sword fights to entertain the crowd!

After this, the Olympic Torch was lit and the tournament began. Self made flags were waved and face paint proudly shown as we paraded down to the football pitch, where the events took place. Events such as unihoc, three legged football and the tug of war proved popular. Some serious skill was shown by Mathilde and Maria in the three legged football, but they were not to be outdone by Ari’s performance at the water can relay.

After all of the excitement of the day, the closing ceremony was held and the winners were announced. After an unusual tie-breaker of a ‘moo-off’ between Norway and the UK, Norway took third, the UK took first and the winners of the Olympics were Brazil! A great and exciting day was had by all!

Red & Blue Groups: Lake Day!

23rd July 2021

As the courageous campers rose this morning excitement filled Camp Suisse, as the campers prepared to embark on arguably one of the most epic and fun- filled activities Camp suisse has to offer- the wondrous paradise that is… dun dun dun… Villeneuve!

The morning kicked off with the campers embarking on their paddle board expedition on Lake Geneva. Greta took to paddle boarding like a duck to water as she glided across Lake Geneva with no sweat at all. Maisy, Cate, Luka and Leah also took Lake Geneva by storm as they showed the paddle board who was Boss!

After lunch, the campers faced the second challenge of this dreamy day – banana boating! Maria, Mathilde, Mia and Ari rode the waves like pros, as they hardly even fell off, despite the speed boat pulling them along at a record speed.

The day also included lots of super swimming in the picturesque pool, and Spencer even created two new games (which we all had tonnes of fun playing!) and Leo swam better than Michael Phelps in the Olympic final!
All in all a dreamy day with our brilliant campers, that make us proud every second of the day!
