Our fabulous reds and blues woke up bright and early today as they set off for the gorgeous Glacier 3000. Spirits were high as the reds and blues eagerly boarded the cable car and travelled up the 3000 foot mountain with no fear in sight. Layaan even took on the role of alpine hairdresser as we were whisked up the mountain!
Equally, Noah embodied his inner hiking legend as he trekked tremendously through the snowy mountains. Glacier 3000 today, Everest tomorrow! At the same time Leyaan, Isabel, John, Shaadin and Tomas were real thrill seekers as they took on the peak to peak suspension walk with incredible bravery !
After a lovely lunch of traditional Camp Suisse delicacies, obviously including speed bars and ranger bars, our coolest campers (all the reds and blues), faced the highest alpine roller coaster in the world. Lucy, Elias and Sebastian put Queen to shame as they travelled though the alps faster than the speed of light! Nothing can stop them now!
After an exciting morning we descended down the mountain and reached the amazing Aigle pool. Who knew Emma could swim like a mermaid and Isabel could be a contender for synchronised swimming in the next Olympics with her incredible aqua gymnastics! Bring on Paris 2024!!!!! The coach home saw Leyaan putting her spectacular Spanish skills to practice, what a linguistic legend !
All in all incredibly proud of our fantastic red and blue legends today! Biggest superstars ever!

As the sun rose in Les Crosets this morning, our incredible reds and blues channelled their inner linguistic talents as they smashed their language lessons out of the park. Elias put the staff to shame on his knowledge of the English alphabet whilst Shaadin and Leyaan completed a brilliant Spanish project. Equally, despite being a beginners, Tomas, Noah and Sebastian took to French like ducks to water.
After a yummy lunch if toasted paninis, the reds and blues headed to Montreux for the iconic Montreux Jazz Festival. McDonald’s chicken nuggets were a welcome sight as Leyaan said it was the best food she had eaten all week and Elias and Mika found some fabulous minion toys in their happy meals and quickly became best friends.
Emma, Lucy and Isabel won a prize for finding the most expensive item in Montreux as well as striking fabulous Freddie Mercury poses. At the same time, Macram, Noah and Alex completed the Montreux scavenger hunt at lightening speed.
We were also so proud of Leyaan today as she showed exceptional kindness to a member of the public in Montreux today.
All in all a fabulous day had by our brilliant reds and blues who make us so proud!

What a day for the yellows and greens! This morning we unfortunately had to say goodbye to some of our campmates as their time at Camp Suisse came to an end. To cheer our campers up we knew it was time to go on an adventure!
An exhilarating chair lift up to an elevation of over 2200m was followed closely by some delicious hot chocolates at the Cookie Cafe were the perfect way to put a smile on their faces. There was not a cloud in the sky today, so we made sure to lather on the suncream before taking off on our hike through Portes du Soleil, taking in the stunning scenery and gorgeous mountaintops that surrounded us from every side.
A few water breaks and a pleasant lunch break was followed by some frisbee and soccer to make the most of the good weather before setting off on our way back to camp. Our tired campers were pleasantly surprised when a brand new bunch of campers joined us on the mountain for the hike home. Plenty of new friends to be made and what an adventure to kick off the experience!
To finish off and wind down an amazing day, the campers tested their creative side by taking part in an Art Jam on Saturday evening. A great start to week 2!

The Rocking Reds and Brilliant Blues had such an amazing day today! We came down to Lake Geneva and did some banana boating! To start, we swam in the most beautiful swimming pool in Villeneuve. Amelia was practically a beautiful mermaid! John didn’t want to get out of the pool either! All of the reds and blues had a blast in the pool. We then did banana boating! Shaadin, Layaan, Emma and Amelia were lucky enough to be the first group trying it! They were also lucky enough to fall and take a dip in lake Geneva. Mirta and Iris were in the second group and we somehow managed to fall twice and had so much fun while doing it!
Makram and Alex were also the bravest when doing the banana boating!
Luckily we have a relaxing movie session ahead of us this evening!

Hello all! Hola a todos! Bonjour a tous! In the first week, the Seniors exploded out gate by expanding their language skills during the morning sessions. The Greens and Yellows respectfully enjoyed debating with their fellow campers in their respective language groups about their topics of interest such as cultural traditions and beliefs from their countries of origin.
In the afternoon they joined forces to unlock different challenges and become stronger team players in our Team Building Games session. “The Mountain dudes” (Mando, Léo, Tiana, Alessandro, Iris, Aliki, Peter and Konstantinas) successfully completed all challenges and safely brought back their whole team to Camp Suisse after having lots of fun crossing the Lava River and piranhas infested land rafting. A day full of sharing and laughs that ended in the evening Trivia Quiz, where campers proved their general knowledge. Bravo Yellow team for winning!!!
À bientôt 👋🏼

Once upon a time the Brilliant Blues and Rocking Reds took on the majestic Castle in Chillon as they smashed a scavenger hunt around the castle filling their brains with amazing history facts. Who knew knights at the castle had three choices of armour each day? We even got to see how toilets worked for the Lords and Ladies of the time; definitely a favourite among the reds and blues. Shaadin and Maisy re- enacted Rapunzal beautifully.
After lunch on the picturesque Lake Geneva we took on the Aqua Parc. Alex and Macram channeled their inner thrill seekers smashing the big scary slides whilst Mika, Léo and John swam better than Micheal Phelps on the lazy river. Maisy and Leyaan showed the waves who was boss on the wave pool and the waves had nothing on them. Amelia and Emma shined their sun shining personalities as always being gorgeous kind friends to the whole group.
All all our amazing reds and blues made us proud again! Well done legends!

All groups from LGB Yr 6 today took part in an exciting outdoor bushcraft adventure as all classes competed in the Camp Suisse Ultimate Survivor Competition!
We were undeterred by the wind and rain in Les Crosets as all groups completed several bushcraft activities that ranged from fire lighting to water filtration. Everyone adapted well to the tough conditions and completed all the tasks successfully!
We hiked through the forest and crossed rapid streams in difficult conditions but everyone managed to navigate their way through the forest like true Ultimate Survivors!
After a warming shower and change of clothes we sat down to a delicious dinner which was followed by a highly entertaining evening quiz (which included some great team names!)
It was another great day in Les Crosets despite the nasty weather, but let’s hope for some warmer conditions tomorrow!

Today 6A and 6C visited a breezy Martigny where we had an enjoyable experience visiting the Roman Ruins and Barryland (St.Bernard dog museum).
In Barryland we got to see some very cute puppies and bunnies which we all loved! The museum in Barryland depicted the long history of the St.Bernard dog and its many traits as a rescue dog in the Swiss Alps. We got to see some very old, authentic newspaper clippings that dated back to 1910. We managed to find the oldest photo of a St.Bernard which was taken in 1880.
We had a true Roman dining experience as we ate our lunch at the old Roman Amphitheatre.
We were taken back into the past as we explored the Roman Ruins around Martigny. It was an educational experience for all as we saw the original Roman Baths and remnants of the path the Romans took as they entered Martigny.
We saw an example of the original concept of Roman Central heating in the main Forum area of Roman Martigny. The Mithraeum (an old temple to the convert religion of Mithra) was a particularly interesting point of the tour. The kids were tested on their knowledge of Roman gods and goddesses and it seems they have all been listening in class!
Overall, an educational and very fun day was had by all in Martigny!

The Reds and Blues had a fantastic day today exploring the grounds around Camp Suisse. They went on a foraging expedition in the morning and managed to find themselves a treasure trove of edible plants out in nature. After what seemed like a long and fruitless (pun intended) search, Marijus managed to find a patch of strawberries large enough to feed the whole group! Other plants like Woodsorrel and Beach leaves were tasted and the campers really enjoyed their culinary experiment.
We also had sports at the football pitch in the afternoon with some superstar performances put in by Maisy’s brick wall defence and Nicolas’s amazing goals. We then played capture the flag which was hotly contested. And some campers decided instead to build a fairy fort which included a kitchen, a mine, defensive areas and of course many houses for the fairies. All in all, a great day was had by our campers in the great outdoors!
