The greens and yellows enjoyed an exciting first day of camp! After their first breakfast at camp, they were able to escape the heat high up in the trees at Parc Adventure. A morning at the high ropes course proved to be challenging – the “free-fall” from the rock climbing tower (actually a slow, controlled lowering to the ground) was one of the biggest hurdles to overcome. After a filling packed lunch and some volleyball and soccer practice, the greens and yellows headed back to camp. The afternoon was busy – campers in both color groups took a language placement test so that they can be assigned to the correct language class. After language tests, they enjoyed an exciting game of Gaelic Football (which, for the non-Irish, seems like a mix between rugby and soccer). Greens and Yellows also played a round of frisbee golf and then enjoyed the final day of the inflatable fun park in the camp parking lot. After a much needed shower hour and dinner of fajitas, greens and yellows enjoyed a pub quiz and sports this evening. All in all, an eventful and fun first full day of Session 3 at Camp Suisse!
Today, the Reds and Blues kicked the session off with their their first language lesson! First, the language teachers helped to ensure everyone is placed in a class level that will help them to develop their language abilities in a fun and appropriately challenging setting. They then got stuck into their language lessons, with groups learning English, French and Spanish, while the non-language learners explored the area. After a hearty lunch of hot dogs, our junior campers took inspiration from nature with some incredible art jamming. This was a great opportunity to look at our beautiful natural surroundings, and express their creativity through painting and drawing. Everyone had a super time, and the children really got to know each other through sharing and co-operation. A lovely day all round!

Waking up to a mystical foggy morning up the mountain to the sound of sheep bells, our campers enjoyed a cozy morning in the Planchaeux camping spot high in the hills.
They were greeted by a wonderful breakfast followed by a quick pack up before departing to the beautiful blue Champéry swimming pool, where they soaked in the stunning sunny sky while enjoy the unforgettable mountain scenery.
Playing games and enjoying laughs, the relaxing day was sorely needed considering the excitement of the last few days and nights, and the event on everyone’s lips leading up to the evening, the extravagant Prom evening!
The Prom evening started off with the Reds and Blues digging into a dish synonymous with Switzerland, a cheese fondue! Filling their stomachs with locally sourced Swiss cheese, they spent some time outside enjoying time within their age group before joining the party at the disco, which was thoroughly enjoyed by all and left everyone exhausted but ready to pack up and return home after an incredibly successful session. New friends made, new bonds formed and new things learned, the session ended appropriately, on a bang!
Today, Thursday the 21st of July was an amazing day for greens and yellows. We had language lessons in the morning, but decided to spice it up a little bit with a language contest / gymkhana. In Spanish class, we finished our beautiful project about food. In French, they finished their Camp Suisse magazine and in English lessons they got the chance of debating about whether phones should be allowed in Camp Suisse…
The language contest consisted of 4 different games where 8 groups played against each other. Spanish, French and English students all came together for the occasion!
After lunch, Greens played some team building games, such as, Landraft, lava river, marbel run… It was the perfect opportunity to finish this experience by bonding even more with their teammates. As for yellows, they went into the forest to do a bushcraft session! After packing and having a needed shower hour, everyone is ready and dressed up for prom now! It’s gonna be an amazing night for everyone. However, we can’t help being a little bit sad that everyone is leaving, this has been an amazing group of campers!

Today the greens and yellows headed to Parc Adventure to get up on the high ropes in the trees! Ali was our resident zip line expert, helping all of his friends with the techniques and getting over their fears! Albatool and Lamar both overcame some challenges on the ropes and Greta reached new heights, achieving more of the courses than she did last year!!
Afterwards the yellows headed to Champéry pool and got caught in a hail storm!
Meanwhile, the greens headed back to camp for an early shower hour, to get glammed up and head out of camp for a pizza party in a nearby restaurant!! Buon appetito!!
Afterwards, everyone chilled out with a quiz night, basketball or a screening of Kung Fu Panda! What a fab day had by all!

The reds and blues rose bright and early this morning ready for another exciting and fun filled day ahead! This morning brought a new day of language lessons in which the fantastic reds and blues smashed it again!
In French we began preparations for tomorrow’s amazing languages Eurovision party – I personally can’t wait for Mairirose, Kate, Layan and Yasmine’s “In the Jungle/About Damn Time TikTok mash up and was extremely impressed by Dylan and Liam’s song in honour of Martin Luther King.
In Spanish Jimena, Kayla, Riya and Leah absolute smashed it and learnt a record number of words whilst Valentina, Joaquim, Pierre and Alex were superstars in English !
The afternoon saw a lunch of panninis which went down a storm with the reds and blues before they tackled team building games ! Uma, Layan, Micheal, Magdy and Sarah showed fantastic team work and resilience on lava river, marble run, sheep pen and ski race.
After a fun afternoon of team building and we decided to take on the epic bouncy castle fun park in Les Crosets ! The reds and blues had an amazing time with Mica, Omar, Charlotte, Yasmine and Jaida bouncing crazy high!
So proud of our red and blue legends again today! Such icons !

Today Seniors travelled back to Mayan times where they found out about the history of the “brown gold” at the Chocolate Factory Maison Cailler. They became expert chocolate tasters in each station as they visited the museum and got ready to depart to the medieval town of Gruyères where they enjoyed learning more about Swiss culture. Some of our campers discovered the delicious Swiss Fondue for the first time in the iconic cheese town (Bon appétit Artem, Faisal, Robert, Yegor!) All campers shared a fun time playing football and walking around the city enjoying the sunshine and picturesque city. Sunday ended up with our special Skits evening, where campers had a fun time putting up their creativity and acting skills on scene!

Today at International Camp Suisse, the long-awaited Olympics took place.
Eight different countries with members of the red, blue, green and yellow teams competed against each other.
The Olympics were held in Les Crosets, at the Camp’s facilities, campers had the opportunity to represent countries such as Canada, Italy, Argentina, Greece, Ireland, Denmark, Switzerland and Germany.
Some of the sports that we have been able to enjoy during this year’s Olympics have been blind basketball, tennis-golf, water relays, obstacle race, greek theatre, hiking and Port du Soleil theme park.
The high temperatures have accompanied us throughout this sporting day, however this has not prevented Charlie from painting his face like the sun on the Argentinian flag. It was great!
We must also highlight Luke’s sad defeat in tennis golf by 16 points hahaha, sorry for that Luke!
To end this intense day of Olympics, our green team will play outdoor bingo while our yellow team will have a fun evening playing coundown in the dinning room
And that’s all for today! It has been a very exciting and tiring day for our campers so tonight they will have to rest well for the activities and surprises to come tomorrow.
Congratulations for all the countries that have participate at this very warm Olympics day. You have done a very good job 🙂

An exciting day for the Reds and Blues as we headed down the mountain to cool off in Lake Geneva! First stop Villenueve pool! A quick outfit change into some swimming costumes and into the pool they went, splashing about, playing with a frisbee and trying our best to get a break from the heat.
We said goodbye to some of our campers today Isabella and Margot so after plenty of hugs and swapping telephone numbers we had to send them off with a big cheer. In the words of Winnie the Pooh; ”aren’t we so lucky to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard”.
Some tasty snacks from the snackbar went down a treat with plenty of ice pops and gummies to go around. Another round of suncream and some water to rehydrate and we were quickly setting up for even more of the day’s activities.
Small groups broke up and prepared for the main event…Banana Boating!!! Some strength and courage was needed from our campers as they were zooming around the lake on a giant blue banana. Some were not so lucky or skilled were thrown straight off the boat and into the beautiful blue lake! Not the worst thing to fall into I suppose….Some very enthusiastic campers even chose to test their swimming abilities and practiced jumping into the water to swim back to the boat just for fun!
With all this fun we also had some more unfortunate parts to the day, including not 1 but 2 bee stings! Luckily for us our first aiders were able to help and we were back playing and having fun in no time!
After a long warm day at the pool and plenty of fun our campers decided it was time to head back up to camp. We hopped on the bus and made our way home, excited for what the next day has in store
Hello everybody! Hola! Bonjour! 🙂
I hope you are all doing great! Worry not about your kid’s recreation, because I can assure you that today they had a lot of fun.
Our day started with our language courses. Greens and Yellows learned many new things during the French, Spanish and English classes. Also, they all continued their projects on various topics such us creating their own Camp Suisse magazine or their own posters (of course using the corresponding language).
Then the Green Group enjoyed the journey with the chairlift having as a destination the Champéry climbing area where they challenged themselves trying to reach the top. Almost all of the kids achieved to reach the top! Then we enjoyed a nice walk in Champéry and return back with the chairlift. They were really lucky because recently the weather has been amazing ☀️
Our Yellow group visited Montreux Jazz Festival. They had the opportunity to walk next to Lake of Geneva while listening to a big variety of music from all around the world. Also, since there are many bazaars and shops open during the Jazz Festival, they had the opportunity not only to try local food but also speak with the locals using the French language. 🇨🇵
Around 17.30 they arrived back at camp, where they relaxed and had dinner until 19.30.
For the evening activity they had the opportunity to show us their singing skills during our Karaoke night 🎤🎶 Both Green and Yellows enjoyed the evening singing songs from all around the world, chatting with each other and in general having a lot of fun 😊
