Staff Training 2014 – Day Five
29th May 2014
Today everyone had their serious hat on as it was First Aid training, Children Protection and Emergency Procedures. In true Camp Suisse style it was made fun by getting involved, putting each other in recovery positions and role-playing. Over dinner of Fajita wraps, it was all agreed we had taken away invaluable information.

There is a real buzz around camp today as we are all going on a hike up to the Ski Lodge. The activity leaders are watching closely how Ian and his team guide us through cow fields and make the walk factual and fun!
Staff Training 2014 – Day Three
27th May 2014
Some cloud had rolled in but everyone still felt bright and cheerful. The camp administrators have been busy setting up behind the scenes and the Group Leaders had taken on board some teacher training, plus getting to visit the excursions such as the Gruyeres Cheese Factory. Of course, another night of wall climbing, archery and bonding.
Staff Training 2014 – Day Two
26th May 2014
After some much needed kip everyone was refreshed for another day at Camp Suisse. The Chefs and Catering Team started their allergy training and the Cleaners set to making the campers chalets spic-and-span. Later in the day we all gathered for dinner, shared stories of our day and then headed to the climbing wall, where senior manager Ian Johnston and his trusted team ‘showed us the ropes’. A great time had by all!
Staff Training 2014 – Day One
25th May 2014
A group of 21 of us arrived in Torgon well ahead of time and we were greeted by friendly faces of the staff already here as well as the Swiss sunshine!
Once we had unpacked our rooms everyone enjoyed lunch, some of the scrummy fresh bread from the village baker. Then it was all hands to the pump with a welcome meeting from Camp Director Julie Tyler and the Activity Leaders going straight out for their Mountain Bike CTC training.

Yes its official; the rumours are true; we are delighted to finally announce that we are adding two extra one-week sessions to summer 2014!! Furthermore, the first 20 campers that book on receive an amazing 10% discount, so get booking!!! The summer is getting closer and here at CS we are really busy interviewing and booking people onto our recruitment days which are taking place in March! The snow is still falling in Torgon but the days are getting lighter and before we know it spring will be upon us and we can really start counting down the weeks! #comeonsummer

Camp Suisse HQ is getting busy! You might be wondering what goes on at camp when Torgon is covered in snow, in-between the odd snowball fight and mid-day ski we are receiving and processing tons of registration forms from keen campers seeking an adventure holiday of a life time and enthusiastic highly-motivated people looking to join our staff team this summer. Ideas are being finalised about what exciting activities will take place and how campers can get the most out of our unique language programmes.

Double Trouble

As the Camp Suissemas Mystery Merchandise Giveaway came to an end some very exciting news was revealed!
After posting the final question on Facebook, competition became fierce and before we knew it the time came to pick a WINNER of the grand final!
Much deliberation took place from our Camp Suisse Elves, it was in this time that the festive sprite took hold and sparked a truly magnificent idea!! As it was so difficult to pick between the final two very deserving entries, it was decided that not one but BOTH ENTRIES SHOULD WIN A GRAND PRIZE !!!
Congratulations to Nairana (on behalf of Vayva) and Alexander on winning a week’s free adventure holiday, we are looking forward to welcoming you back to Camp Suisse in 2014!
We had such fun launching our Camp Suissemas competition and extend a big thanks to everyone that got involved!
What an amazing year 2013 has been, we can’t wait to see what the New Year has in store!

‘Tis the season to be jolly at Camp Suisse!! We are well underway with our Camp Suissemas mystery merchandise giveaway, where campers, parents, staff and anyone interested in our Facebook page gets the chance to win a prize from the Camp Suisse souvenir grotto. The grand finale prize is going to be given away on the 27th December, one lucky camper will win a week’s free holiday at Camp 2014! We are super-excited to choose and announce the winner!
While it may seems like that days of mountain biking madness, climbing wall chaos and camp fire fun has been buried under a heap of Torgon snow, the Camp Suisse HQ is waking up after a well-rested autumn with new and exciting plans to make 2014 the best yet !
