Camp Suisse will organise your permit to work in Switzerland. You must be:
An EU or EFTA national which includes the following countries:
Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Kingdom, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Cyprus, Malta, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Slovenia, Slovak Republic.

OR:
Have a permit to work in the UK AND have been integrated for at least one year in the EU or EFTA labour market.

If you are short-listed for interview, you will be contacted by email or telephone. You will then be invited to attend an interview in the UK. Interviews are also available in Switzerland for individuals based in Europe. You must be available for a face-to-face interview in one of these locations.

There is a single interview for each candidate and successful applicants will be notified within a week of interview. Employment is in all cases subject to the obtaining of at least TWO satisfactory references and it is the candidates’ responsibility to make available current and accurate contact details for proposed referees.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Group Leaders"

Please note: WE ARE NO LONGER RECRUITING FOR GROUP LEADERS FOR SUMMER 2012

Ages: 19+

Key Duties:
• Be dedicated to a small group of campers (6 to 8 kids) to mentor for each fortnightly period
• Personally mentor and lead your group - be the friend and guide of each individual
• Accompany your group on all activities and excursions, including encouraging and motivating them where necessary
• Offer feedback on the success and popularity of activities and the campers’ enjoyment of different events

• Assist with EITHER sports coaching or language tuition during morning sessions
• Enjoy yourself!

Points to note:
YOU as an individual will be one of the critical factors in ensuring that those campers in your care have an unforgettable, once-in-a-lifetime experience. With the outstanding range of activities on offer this should be a pleasure. The work is both extremely good fun and very rewarding. It is helpful if you thrive in a busy environment as daily hours are long (from breakfast to evening).

Personal requirements / characteristics:
Camp Suisse group leaders need to have a positive attitude to work and a genuine interest in kids and young people. The ability to build a good rapport with children is important. You should have an open mind and be tolerant of all cultures, races and languages. Above all you should be a team player who is kind, caring, and great fun! It is helpful if you have experience with children, first aid training, and are keen on sports and the outdoors. You are required to assist with either sports sessions (tennis, football, basketball, hockey) or language classes (French, Spanish, German, Italian, English) in a morning so relevant skills and experience in one of these fields is a requirement.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Nanny"

Age: 25+

Key Duties:
• To take sole care of a 4 month old baby from 8am - 2pm, 5 days per week + additional flexi-hours as required
• Provide a safe, caring, nurturing and stimulating environment for the child (Camp Director's daughter)
• Usual nanny duties including preparing bottles, changing nappies, bathing, dressing, appropriate activities

• Light domestic duties - washing clothes, tidying, errands

• Possible baby sitting the occasional evening
• Enjoy yourself!

Points to note:
Must be flexible and adaptable and happy to step in as required. You would be very welcome to engage in the wealth of activities going on at Camp in your down-time. Accommodation is shared with other summer resort staff.

Personal requirements / characteristics:
Must be Registered UK Childcarer and have proven childcare experience with references. Would suit 'outdoorsy' type with interest in hiking, biking, summer sports etc. Driving license advantageous. We are looking for a mature and responsible individual with good communication skills and good judgment. You must be kind and caring and have the ability to plan and organise effectively. You would work on your own a lot but would still be part of the overall summer team and so a desire to interact with others is useful. You must be qualified; CACHE level 3, relevant NVQ or equivalent.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Activity Leaders" (Mountain Bike Guides, Climbing Instructors & Sports Coaches)

Key Duties:
• Deliver professional, effective and great fun sports and activity classes to campers
• Design and plan activity sessions to suit specific requirements (age, weather, aims)
• Lead and motivate each individual to benefit maximally from your activities
• Work with other activity leaders and other staff to co-ordinate and combine sessions and groups
• Enjoy yourself!

Points to note:
The essential element of all Camp Suisse sports and activity programmes is to improve skills and confidence in each discipline; development and learning is essential. Sports and activities are delivered in a safe, controlled environment in a manner which is great fun for participants of all ages and which fosters real enthusiasm for the exercise.

Personal requirements / characteristics:
Camp Suisse Activity Leaders are talented and adaptable individuals with a genuine passion for their sports or activities. You must be mature, punctual, professional and responsible with a real enthusiasm for the outdoors and for educating and teaching children and teenagers. All sessions are to be structured, planned and progressive to suit the needs of each group of individuals. First Aid training and relevant qualifications in your chosen discipline(s) are required. You must have the CTC / OTC Mountain Biking Leader Award and / or the SPA Climbing Award or alternatively a sports-focussed coaching qualification eg the LTA Coaching Assistant Level 2 or the FA Level 1 Certifcate in Coaching Football. You will focus on giving classes in your specialised subject (mountain biking, climbing or sports coaching) but will also be required to run other activities and sports throughout the camp on a day-to-day basis. As this is a residential position, Activity Leaders are also involved in other areas of the camp including evening entertainment, night time supervision and domestic duties as required.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Restaurant Staff"

Ages: 18+

Key Duties:
• Work closely with our friendly chefs to prepare and serve meals
• Serve meals in the restaurant - some table service, some buffet style

• Set up, serve and close down buffet stations

• Be responsible for general tidiness and cleanliness of the restaurant

Points to note:
You will report to the Catering Supervisor and assist in the production and service of three well-balanced and wholesome meals a day for between 100 and 200 guests and staff. You may take time off in your free hours and join the group on activities if you wish. There is scope for promotion and pay increase upon demonstrating relevant skills; various Catering Supervisor positions are available to suitable individuals.

Personal requirements / characteristics:
High level office administrator required to deal with all areas of day to day office work. Must be highly computer literate including a sound knowledge of all MS Office applications, especially Excel, Publisher, Word, Power Point and Outlook. A basic understanding of computer networking would be useful. Good phone manner and confidence dealing with clients is essential. As with all roles at Camp Suisse we are looking for a positive attitude to work and a genuine interest in kids and young people. • Maintain cleanliness of kitchen and service areas. Includes potwash.

• Plan and execute menus with catering supervisors

• Preparation of picnic/packed lunches

Points to note:
Our team of cooks are talented individuals with a good grasp of kitchen skills, including knife skills. Food is simple and prepared fresh daily to an exceptionally high standard. You will report to a catering supervisor. There is scope for promotion and pay increase upon demonstrating relevant skills; roles as Head Cook, Lunch Co-ordinator and certain Catering Supervisor positions are available to suitable individuals.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Drivers"

Ages: 25+

Must hold full category D driving licence

Key Duties:
• Drive campers and staff to and from excursions, in Camp Suisse vehicles or local hired vehicles (minibuses coaches)
• Other driving duties which will include airport transfer, shopping, laundry, collecting deliveries etc
• Help with logistics; eg delivering drinks / lunches to campers in activity sessions

• Be responsible for ongoing cleanliness of company vehicles
• Run and record routine safety and other checks on company vehicles (in line with UK Driver CPC training)
• Assist in general with any element of camp life
• Enjoy yourself!

Points to note:
This is a varied and interesting role which will give you a great overview of all elements of camp operations. You will have the opportunity to participate in activities with the groups if you wish. You are actively encouraged to get involved with the campers and those staff who work directly with them.

We are looking for good ‘all-rounders’, i.e. flexible, adaptable, capable individuals who are forward-thinking, self-motivated and have good planning and organisational skills. You must enjoy driving and an interest in other camp activities and sports is an advantage. This is a broad role with non-driving duties too.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Camp Nurse"

Ages: 21+

Key Duties:
• Control and manage all medications held at camp
• Monitor and manage first aid supplies
• Administer medication as required
• Attend to any illnesses or sicknesses in-house
• Enjoy yourself!

Points to note:
You will be responsible for managing any medication belonging to Campers and administer it as required, including briefing group leaders and other contact staff on Campers’ medical requirements where appropriate.
You will be available to attend to any accidents /illnesses in resort.

Personal requirements / characteristics:
The Camp Nurse is usually a qualified nurse, or in the process of studying nursing. Other relevant medical training (paramedic etc) is also acceptable. You should be friendly and approachable as well as responsible, professional and organised.

Job description - Camp Suisse "Catering Supervisors"

Ages: 21+

We are recruiting for supervisors in a number of areas within the housekeeping team including restaurant managers, breakfast shift supervisors, lunch co-ordinators.

Key Duties - some or all of the following:
• Prepare and serve food for up to 200 people per day

• Manage different areas of the Camp Suisse kitchen and team of staff
• Create and execute menu plans including attention to special diets and allergies

• Monitor and manage food supplies and stores

• Implement and monitor HACCP systems. Train staff in the field of HAACP and monitor compliance

• Set staff rotas and keep associated records

• Work, shop and plan menus to a given budget
• Oversee meal services - breakfast, lunch or dinner

• Organise and oversee the preparation of picnic/packed lunches

Important skills include the ability to run the restaurant at service times in an organised and efficient manner, personnel management, stock control, attention to detail, attention to health and hygiene rules and forward thinking. You will have a team of staff to manage and motivate.

Ages: 25+

Key Duties:
• Day to day management of the centre
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and standards

• Managing grievances and problem-solving

• Liaising with staff, guests and company directors
• Planning and co-coordinating activity schedules

Points to note:
This is a managerial role and experience in a similar role is essential. This may include summer resort management, hotel management or winter resort management. The job is demanding yet rewarding and the hours could be long so a flexible approach to work is essential. The position is one of responsibility and care for both youngsters and staff.

You must be mature, responsible, forward-thinking and hard-working. A high level of organisational skills and problem solving ability is essential. A strong ability to work with and motivate others is required as well as the ability to set and maintain high standards throughout the season. An understanding of the nature of seasonal work through relevant experience is essential. You must have a very positive ‘can do’ attitude to work and be able to instill this in others. • Create a comprehensive library of great imagery for the new Camp Suisse brochure and all future communications / projects
• Enjoy yourself!

Points to note:
The required photography consists of well colour-composed, strong, sharp and interesting photography with a big emphasis on quality (not holiday snaps of kids at camp).
Photography of all the different activities should be emotive as well as documentary.
You must be able to capture the essence of Camp through imagery in a non-evasive manner.
It is essential that you can blend in with the group and interact well with Campers and staff.

Camp Suisse is looking for a talented photographer who is a real team player. You should be flexible, adaptable and artistic. It is essential that you are able to build great rapport with children and adults alike. You will be invited to use your artistic license to achieve the aim above. Points to note:
Whilst our language programs are structured and set, it is essential that you can personalise your classes and make your classroom time unique to you. (Materials, books, games provided).
It is essential that campers make real, measurable progress from their course, particularly in areas of confidence in practical usage.

You will be required to acccompany campers on activities and excursions too to aid in gaining practical experience wiith the languages they are learning in the classroom.
Language Teachers must be university graduates teaching their native language but there are some classroom assistant positions available for those who do not meet these criteria.

Ages: 19+

Key Duties:

• Assist the evening entertainment team

• Ensure all campers are put to bed at an appropriate time; are in their own rooms, quiet and settled, and respond to any issues accordingly

• Nightime supervision of the campus buildings and grounds

• Respond to night-time incidents
• Monitor fire alarm systems
• Liaise with senior and medical staff

• Maintain document logs and incident report files

Points to note:
We are looking for trustworthy, reliable individuals to maintain site security during night hours. Experience in the field of security and / or shift work would be advantageous. You should be effective at assessing and evaluating situations, quick-thinking and a good problem solver. You will be required to create and maintain accurate paper trails.

You need to be equipped to work during the night and often alone. You should be able to manage your time effectively and work on your own initiative. A positive attitude to work and a genuine interest in kids and young people is essential, as is the ability to respond quickly and act effectively in the event of an incident. You should have an open mind and be tolerant of all cultures, races and languages, as well as being friendly, approachable and empathetic -you will be the first point of call should any camper require settling or assistance during the night.
