Financial Protection

Financial security for packages

The Package Travel, Package Holidays and Package Tours Regulations 1992 require travel companies to provide security for the monies that consumers pay for certain types and combinations of travel arrangements booked with them and for consumers’ repatriation in the event of their insolvency. Unless we notify you that a different form of financial protection applies to your booking, we provide this protection in two different ways: all funds paid for packages will initially be paid directly into a trust account administered by independent trustees, Serenity Travel Trusts.

If you are booking individual places on the international summer camp program, funds will be held there until after your package arrangements have been completed. If you are booking a group trip, funds will be released from that account 42 days before you are due to depart. After funds have been released, an insurance policy with Affirma a trading brand of MGA Cover Services Limited will  provide the required financial protection. This means that in respect of all arrangements requiring protection, in the event of our insolvency, funds will be available to ensure that you are not left stranded abroad or you will receive a refund of the money you have paid to us. If you book arrangements other than a package, your monies will not be financially protected. Please ask us for further details.

Insurance policy

We reserve the right, in place of the use of the Trust Accounts referred to above, to insure monies provided by you in respect of your booking  in accordance with and subject to the provisions of the policy held with Affirma (a trading brand of MGA Cover Services Limited), details of which can be obtained upon request.
