The following terms and conditions show your and our commitments as part of your booking. By submitting the booking form, you confirm that you have read and understood these terms and conditions and accept the contract as detailed herein on behalf of the child named on the form. You guarantee that you are the parent or legal guardian of that child. A contract will only exist between you and International Camp Suisse when we have received the completed booking form with the required deposit and have issued a booking confirmation. This contract is governed by English law and any dispute will be dealt with under the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts. No variation to these conditions is effective unless made in writing and signed by the proprietor of the company.
The deposit as requested on the booking form must accompany the signed form. All deposits are non-refundable except as in Condition 3, below. The client agrees to pay all monies due by the specified due date, otherwise the company reserves the right to cancel the booking and apply cancellation charges as set out in Condition 3.
All prices are guaranteed against surcharges on currency, transportation costs and government action, subject to payments being received by the due dates. Payment by international bank transfer will incur bank charges. In order for the sender to accept these fees ‘OUR’ must be marked on the transfer document. Where the company is charged fees and holidays are therefore underpaid a settlement invoice will be issued which must be paid no later than 8 days before arrival.
The company reserves the right to cancel your child’s holiday at any time and in this unlikely event, at our discretion, we will notify you as soon as is possible and will return to you any monies you have already paid less any amount paid in respect of insurance, or offer you an alternative holiday of a comparable standard.
The trip may be changed or cancelled in the event of unusual or unforeseeable circumstances which are beyond our control (Force Majeure); that is circumstances where performance or prompt performance of the contract by the supplier in question is prevented by unusual / unforeseen or unavoidable circumstances, including but not limited to: adverse weather including storms or fog (actual or threatened), natural or nuclear disaster, fire, war or threat of war, riot, civil strife, epidemics or health risks, terrorist activity or threat of terrorist activity, industrial dispute, action or disaster, technical breakdown of transport, closure or congestion of or accidents at stations, ports or airports, government action, or other similar events outside our control. In such circumstances, no compensation will be paid. Some Camp activities are reliant on the weather and where an activity can not safely take place due to this or another reason, it will be replaced with a suitable alternative.
If you wish to cancel the holiday before departure you must inform us in writing and cancellation charges will apply from the date on which we receive notice in line with the following scale:
• 56 - 43 days before departure: 60% holiday price
• 42 - 29 days before departure: 70% holiday price
• 28 - 15 days before departure: 80% holiday price
• 14 days or less before departure: 100% holiday price
Good behaviour and discipline are expected throughout the Camp. All guests undertake not to damage property and to abide by any rules or regulations as required. We reserve the right to cancel or refuse a booking to, or withdraw facilities from, any guest whose behaviour we consider to be inappropriate. Any costs arising from inappropriate conduct will be borne entirely by the person signing the booking form on behalf of the individual concerned. Guests are responsible for their own personal belongings at all times. It is advised that all items are name labeled and that personal items of any value are not brought to camp.
In entering into contracts with our suppliers we aim to ensure that all aspects of your child’s holiday are delivered as described and at a reasonable standard. If, through the acts or omissions of employees, suppliers or other agents working on our behalf and whilst acting in the scope of their employment, the holiday is not delivered in such a way and this spoils your child's holiday, and if we accept responsibility for this, we will pay you reasonable compensation in accordance with English law.
It is each parent’s responsibility to ensure that their child has all relevant travel and health documents. Non-British passport holders should check visa requirements at www.swissemb.org.
Guests should be in possession of a European Health Insurance Card where appropriate. Please note International Camp Suisse does not provide travel insurance however it is compulsory for all guests to have suitable, current travel/accident insurance for the duration of their trip.
We require sight of documentation relating to each guest's policy before the start of camp. If you need any help in choosing a suitable policy, please let us know and we would be more than happy to assist you.
Customers' prepayments are protected by a topp policy. Worldwide customers' prepayments for non flight inclusive packages / flight inclusive packages will be reimbursed, subject to the terms and conditions of the topp policy. Where return travel is included in the package purchased, customers will be repatriated, subject to the terms and conditions fo the Policy. In the unlikely event of financial failure please contact the claims helpline on +44 (0) 870 0137 965. A copy of the policy is available on request. Underwritten by Travel & General Inurance Company plc, authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.
8. ACTIVITIES:
I confirm by submitting the registration form that I know the individual named on the booking form will participate in sports and activities with inherent risks during the course of the Holiday. In my role as the legal representative of that person, I accept these risks. I also confirm that I understand that these activities take place under the supervision of International Camp Suisse staff and/or companies or third parties carefully chosen by International Camp Suisse. I accept the qualifications of instructors and staff or other persons in charge of helping or advising the participants of any given activity. I accept the judgment of International Camp Suisse and its representatives in making such choices and in selecting such individuals and accept that the measures applied are suitable and sufficient. I authorise participation in activities under these conditions. I acknowledge that my youngster will be photographed and/or videoed during the course of camp by individuals appointed by Camp Suisse to do so and that these images or video footage may appear on the Camp Suisse website and in other promotional material including the camp souvenir book.
