Camper... Isobel Sherlock age 14 (UK)

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: An excellent opportunity to try different activities, make new friends and have a thoroughly good time.
Camper’s perspective: Amazing - loved every single second.
Best bit: Getting involved in new and different activities, days out, seeing new things, making new friends with other children and the staff!
Worst bit: Having to say goodbye.




Camper... Nik Sergeev age 10 (Russia)

Comment: We liked the whole experience.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Nik came back home very happy with lots of great memories. This is what matters for us as parents. We will be more than happy to send him to the camp next summer.
Camper’s perspective: I think the camp was the best thing that had ever happened to me. It was exciting and I really enjoyed it.
Best bit: I liked the camping when I got to catch frogs and keep them for the day. I made new friends and going to the adventure park.
Worst bit: There was no worst thing for me.

Comments: I loved the staff, they were very friendly and good and connected immediately.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Entertaining, sporty, international and multicultural, safe, fun, lots of activities.
Camper’s perspective: Fun because of lots of sports, fun trips, made lots of friends, good entertainment, funny staff!
Best bit: Adventure park, football, glacier.
Worst bit: Getting up early.




Camper... Aisling Renton age 10 (UK)

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: The facilities and food were very good. The staff were excellent. I liked the ‘Night Angel’ idea. Her attitude to learning French is now much more positive.
Camper’s perspective: Aisling had a great time. She enjoyed all the trips- to the chocolate factory, the cheese factory, the glacier and the adventure park. She really liked all the staff.
Best bit: Aisling had a really great time. The fact that the staff were so friendly, kind and fun was the key factor for her.
Worst bit: She couldn’t think of a single negative!




Camper... Tobia Valentini age 13 (Italy)

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Enjoyable and exciting. A little too organised - no time to "do nothing" or read a book. A good chance to practice English.
Camper’s perspective: Enjoyable, fun, great.
Best bit: Met people from all over the world. Glacier and sleeping in tent.
Worst bit: Too little free time.




Camper... Rhys David age 13 (UK)

How was camp? - parents’ perspective:Feedback from Rhys was entirely positive - which is rare! We were impressed by the mix of nationalities at the camp and found it great that they were mixed up - i.e. sleeping arrangements.
Camper’s perspective: Very enjoyable - really good fun and a chance to meet lots of nice people.
Best bit: The camping trip. Mountain biking.
Worst bit: Nothing.




Camper... Hélène, Antoine & Hadrian Boudier ages 12, 14, 10 (France)

Comments: I really appreciated having a dedicated person on the phone (Richard or Julie) each time I would call, who knew me and remembered all the questions I had asked through email...
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: We appreciated the friendly and peaceful ambiance of Camp Suisse when we left the children: We did not feel the urge of "doing doing doing" things that some summer camps tend to have!!!! We felt our children were about to spend a good time among a friendly little group of nice children coming from all over the world and a nice staff of leaders with no prejudices.
Camper’s perspective: Hélène - Good. It is the best camp I went to, but I hate camps (!!!). Antoine - Super. I want to come again. Hadrian - Super. I want to come again.
Best bit: They all appreciated the great variety of activities: museum, sport, laugh, and the kindness of the team and leaders. Hélène - Food was nice (compliment from a French gourmet!). Antoine - Mountain biking, hiking. Hadrien - Banana boating, aquaparc.
Worst bit: Hélène - Not enough time to sleep at night. Antoine - Nothing (except horse riding but he managed not to ride!). Hadrien - Walks, hiking.




Camper... Emma Booth age 14 (UK)

Comment: It was perfect.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Confident in the fact that Emma was taken good care of and having a fabulous experience.
Camper’s perspective: It was fun and a great opportunity to meet people from all over the world. All of the camp staff were helpful and friendly.
Best bit: Meeting new people and experiencing new things.
Worst bit: Not long enough!




Camper... Caitlin Gainer age 10 (Australia)

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: --- Camper’s perspective: It was soooo fun, it was an experience of a lifetime! While I was learning at the same time I was having fun. My favourite thing that we did was the banana boating.
Camper’s perspective: Very enjoyable - really good fun and a chance to meet lots of nice people.
Best bit: Banana boating, camping, disco, making friends and swimming.
Worst bit: Getting sunburnt.

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: It was a great opportunity to get to know children from different cultures, try new activities and have a variety of experiences.
Camper’s perspective: Great! The activities were great fun and I got to try lots of things I’d never done before.
Best bit: Either going banana boating or going to the Aquaparc.
Worst bit: Staying at the camp doing sports and team games.




Camper... Matteo, Alberto & Pietro Lais ages 13, 11, 8 (Italy)

Comment: I rated this an excellent holiday and I recommended it to everyone I have spoken to about it.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: A good opportunity to sort things out for themselves! A healthy holiday without television and a lot of physical activity. I felt I could trust the staff. Don’t forget to specify that there is a possibility to wash clothes, this would simplify packing.
Camper’s perspective: They all enjoyed their time very much and were very excited about all the different activities.
Best bit: Alberto enjoyed sports most of all, Pietro preferred the afternoon activities. Matteo’s favourite was also sport, he really liked the banana boat outing.
Worst bit: They didn’t particularly care for the food.

Comment: Gad had a great time and is still in contact with lots of friends he made. Thank you.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Good international experience and great holiday.
Camper’s perspective: Fabulous - first question he asked when collected from airport was if he can go back.
Best bit: Friends, mountain biking, talent show.
Worst bit: Getting into trouble.

Camper... Chiraag & Rahul Patel ages 11, 9 (UK)

How was camp? - parents’ perspective:Safe, educational, providing a wide variety of activities, liberal enough to give the children a chance to get to know themselves, promoting social behaviour.
Camper’s perspective: Very enjoyable, friendly, the tutors were all great and became their friends. Confidence building. "We want to go back next year!" I believe that says it all!
Best bit: The activities, food, people, facilities. Pool and snooker tables.
Worst bit: The weather - rainy!




Camper... Theo Souter-Brown age 16 (New Zealand)

Comment: I emailed for additional info re special needs students and was delighted to find they are welcomed.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Theo had a wonderful time, met some interesting people, enjoyed a range of new experiences and matured visibly in two weeks.
Camper’s perspective: Theo had a good time, enjoyed his room-mate and the general facilities. He loved the staff, mountain biking, getting fit and hiking. He loved the beautiful environment.
Best bit: Getting a girlfriend. The Adventure Park was by far and away the best activity. Hike was hard but I loved it.
Worst bit: Getting dumped by said girlfriend. The horse riding - didn’t enquire as to ability and therefore didn’t extend, advance or even match needs / ability.




Camper... Catherine Lewis age 15 (UK)

Comment: Too efficient!
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Excellent. Some sort of report about the drowned i-pod would have been good.
Camper’s perspective: My time at the camp was educational and fun. I made so many new friends and mostly enjoyed myself all the time.
Best bit: Making friends, beautiful views, lovely walks.
Worst bit: ---.

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: We liked it.
Camper’s perspective: He said it was the best camp he’d visited.
Best bit: Activities.
Worst bit: He didn’t like that he didn’t know the schedule of planned activities. He felt uncomfortable about it.

How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Karim came back happy, he enjoyed all the activities.
Camper’s perspective: It was good, I had fun.
Best bit: Mountain biking and camping at night time.
Worst bit: Walking and didn’t like food.

Comment: Laundry should be made twice a week.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Very efficient.
Camper’s perspective: Good experience.
Best bit: Team work and friendly staff.
Worst bit: Should have been some independent riding for those who are well trained.

Comment: Service was excellent, as was the holiday.
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Our child was very happy and enjoyed it.
Camper’s perspective: Really enjoyed, met a lot of new friends and tried new things!
Best bit: Different activities that we could do and meeting new people.
Worst bit: Getting up early and having to do most of the activities in your set groups. Having your mobile phone taken off you.

Comment: Camp Suisse exceeded my expectations. Really, I was impressed!
How was camp? - parents’ perspective: Claire phoned every evening she was so enthusiastic that we are sure it was a very worthwhile experience.
Camper’s perspective: She says she had the time of her life and can’t wait for next year’s camp.
Best bit: All the trips and excursions, the presence of Max the camp dog.
Worst bit: Early wake up call.
